That bonus ver.2 replacer for Idgrod the Younger is one of the best npc replacers I've seen! Awesome work, that mix of mature and younger look goes really well! I wish we had more of this <3
Fun fact this causes a purple face on Coldsun Pantheons version of Igrod the young.. Guessing maybe they share texture assets. Unfortunately can't use this while using coldsuns pantheon pack with Igrod in it
Just overwrite or delete the facegen in coldsun in meshes and textures. Get the npc ID from either SSEEdit or on Google. Or, before you mess with any of that, just make sure the folder for this mod overwrites coldsun. And the plugin goes after coldsun. Maybe that'll do the trick. If not, you'll have to go by what I said first which is a bit more work.
No, generally the worst effect from adding them mid-save is some can appear naked due to their outfit changing. But this is easily fixed by selecting them with console and using the "resetinventory" command
But as always back up saves before adding mods on an existing game, on the off chance that something does go wrong (but this is highly unlikely ofc)
Love these mods! As an older gentlemen, it used to drive me crazy that the older ladies all looked horrible. Then you came along with your absolutely wonderful remakes. Still mature looking, but not looking like they need to be put out of their misery. I do have a request for two ladies in particular. I'm not sure if they are counted in game as "elder", but the elf twins Endarie and Taorie of Solitude could sure use a touch of your magic. There are lots of others that I'm sure probably don't count as "elder", but look way older than they should, like the woman that runs the lumber mill on the southern route to Riften. She looks 50'ish and yet has a young son. I don't think you could ever run out of faces that need fixing. Bethesda did a horrible job on it's mature population. P.S.: I went to your patreon page. Is there any way you could add a one lump yearly subscription? $1.50 a month doesn't work well with my budget, but, I would gladly make a one time donation of more than $18 if the option were available.
Perhaps in the future I can look at doing some non-Elders. At the moment I'm working on a major overhaul which will be released on the 1st of December which might be up your alley too. It will add a ton of age variance to NPCs as well as aesthetics based on their lifestyle. For example, farmers and adventurer types like Uthgerd are more tanned/freckled and have a few more wrinkles. Although currently Solitude isn't covered, it will be one to follow :)

This is the best one yet. But unfortunately the other one's have caused CTDs when I installed them and loaded my save. Can you think of anything that might be causing the CTDs please?

-some of them have changed outfits to remove the granny hat, so you could try to start a new vanilla game with the mod installed, exit after Ralof starts talking, then reopen your normal save. This will effectively reset the modded NPCs and force them to take the changes of the mod. Generally this won't cause CTD though, but it's worth a try.
-conflict with another mod; I recommend familiarising yourself with xEdit, if only to the point of being able to load up your mod list and understand how to identify conflicts. Because even if you don't know how to fix it, I can potentially help you with load order or patches. But without that info I, and other modders, will unfortunately be unable to give you much useful advice or create fixes.

Yes! For me the vanilla restart trick has worked for every single npc mod that I've ever used over the last decade. It also prevents getting neckseams or missing feet, hands etc when changing between NPC mods which is super useful.

Have you considered giving a face-lift to the male elders too?
You can add additional elder NPCs with your own touch all over Skyrim (specially in College of Winterhold cuz elder mages are great mages). And maybe make them a Follower, there isn't enough elder followers in Nexus except Grandma Shirley follower mod (or hell beautify that mod too)
I think Agnis isn't elder race, even if she has the granny voice. But maybe I can do something about her later on. There's also a granny who works on a farm somewhere (I don't remember if it's in one of the villages or is just a farm) that I didn't even know existed until a few days ago :D
There was a character in the CK that was supposed to be her sister, Argi Farseer. But she didn't make it to the game. Most likely CRF put her back. She's not vanilla so you shouldn't prioritize or care about her. I myself don't use CRF, too much patching required for very little importance.
Several mods use Idgrod's sister as a ghost or someone who disappears through quest very quickly from the game so she's not in the game long enough to matter. I have a mod where you find her as a ghost after those mods where she lingers around and can become a companion. But I want to make it so she's only around at night but that is beyond my knowledge so it will most likely never get published. Edit: This mod has been published.
