Right. You wouldn't know when to toggle it on because you don't know where the ore is. Making it a mesh edit instead of a complex mod forces you to toggle it on and off in your mod manager instead of using a power in the game.
Half of the ores do not have secondary colors like I said, I can only do these colors(rainbow colors). Otherwise, it glows white. You could use the inis fActivatePickLength=16384 fActivatePickRadius=32 both in Skyrim.ini under [Interface]. With those, your pick/activate lenght is almost infinite. (You can harvest a cabbage at the end of the cell ~500m). That way you can move your crosshair over the glowing ores and know if it's worth it to head there.
