UPDATE: Version 1.1 corrects one rug mesh which had the wrong normal map texture assigned to it. That is the only change.

Post comments and quieres here.... I won't reply to every one, but I do read what you write.

Skyrim Special Edition will now have many more unique and detailed rugs to add color and beauty to the game.

I hope people enjoy these textures in their game....

    Cheers,
    Gamwich

I don't do requests, so please people, don't ask.

Try to limit your questions and comments to the mod at hand. These comment sections can go off course quite easily.

Will this work with SMIM (Static Mesh Improvement Mod)?

I would assume so, considering that the SMIM mod page links to this one, as part of a list of other "really great Special Edition visual mods to complement SMIM"

Hi there! It is OK if I use your wrcarpet01.dds for the blanket on a bed model replacer I'm working on? This is what I mean: https://i.postimg.cc/tCK1HSj5/6.png Your pattern fits exactly the vibe I'm going for but I can use another source if you prefer. I would 1000% credit, link and thank you in the mod description. Thanks for such a great mod, it's been a part of my load order since it was first released!

Hypothetically, if I were to put these textures in the overwrite folder, would I need patches for mods like lux, interiors, etc?
Surely they will be forced to use these rugs lol!

Love these rugs! But I'm having a problem where some rugs have a completely different design/texture (that looks like maybe a vanilla texture?) in one corner of the rug--usually a quarter or an eighth of the rug. Moving this mod to the bottom of the load order makes the entire rug look the same as the corner with the different texture. I haven't been able to find any other posts about this. Does anyone know how to fix this? Rug Screenshot

That looks like another rug mod, are you using any other texture or rug replacers  ? that darkened corner, is that in legacy mod?

Thanks for the reply! I'm running Animunculory Visual Overhaul from Wabbajack. Rugnarok is overwriting "Sigils of Skyrim - Banners" and "Cleaned Skyrim SE Textures", but multiple files are being overwritten by "Lux" and "Lux - Illustrious Whiterun SE - 8K - Parallax". All of these mods were included in AVO. Could it be Lux doing this? I am stumped as to how only a corner of the rugs are being affected. Is there something else I could try besides putting it last in my load order?

I have added other mods, like player homes though--this screenshot was taken in Rayek's End. There are a couple of rugs in Elysium Estate doing the same thing. Putting Rugnarok at the bottom of the load order changes the whole rug to the texture of the darkened corner though, the Rugnarok texture doesn't appear at all. This also has me stumped!

I just ran into this issue recently, looking over what files overwrite Rugnarok to cause this issue ended up being Lux on my end. Inside the Lux folder head towards to Mesh/Clutter/Common and hide/delete "rug01.nif", "rug02.nif" and "rug03.nif". I checked back in my game and the issue was fixed on my end.

I'm having the same problem in Rayek's End.  Tried hiding "rug01.nif", "rug02.nif" and "rug03.nif" in Lux.  But no luck.

Were you able to fix this?  Thanks.

Hey, I didn't end up trying their suggestion as I had already removed Rayek's End by the time I got the reply. I was just appreciative that they took the time to reply. Sorry! If you happen to be using AVO collection like me, I did notice that disabling "AVO - Custom Patches" and "AVO - Synthesis" in the Finishing Line in MO2 did solve my NPC dark face bug and when I later returned to Elysium Estate (where I was also having the same weird texture bug with a few of the rugs), I noticed the rugs were fixed! So I don't know if disabling those other things fixed it maybe?

Hey, I use Ennead Banners and Vortex is saying there is a file conflict between the two. Do I load Rugnarok or Ennead Banners first? Many thanks for this great mod!

I always do screenshots to compare some scenes before I download a mod. This mod does not only change carpets it also changes lightning :( I like your carpets but the lightning looks worse

Lighting or lightning? The 1st seems a bit odd for a rug mod, but the later seams completely unconnected.
If it really is lightning and that wasn't a typo on your part than I suppose putting some weather mod after this could possibly get rid of the lightning you don't like.
If its lighting I wonder if putting a lighting mod after this would clear our your problem.

There's no .esp at all, only meshes and textures for rugs. There's no way this mod can be affecting lightning or lighting, with the files it has.

It does conflict with meshes from enhanced lights and fx though I am observing.

This is already been mentioned many times.
The author posted this reply below.

I edited the ELFX meshes, so you need to overwrite with my mod.

Purple means that the color texture is not loading in your game, only the normal map. Either your game isn't installing the mod properly, or you have some other rug meshes installed that are conflicting with mine.
