I've got great news everyone. I've converted the entire set of Wild Penguins to SSE for Jokerine with all the upgrades that are needed for the mods to function. I will ask that anyone who downloads this mod please do not use the older version at all since it may break the water lines in the game. I've had to upgrade the older version of the mod and hope that anyone who uses these mods uses the new upgrades. The older version wasn't converted to using SSE's new water cells. However, with the new upgrade I've given to Jokerine. Everything should be up to snuff. The file is cleaned and ready to go.
Thank you to anyone who downloads this mod and most importantly thank you Jokerine and FluffEisenkette for providing the resources for this mod to be created. I hope everyone endorses after they download. This mods adds that extra little bit of immersion and realism to the game Bethesda just didn't have the budget or time for. They probably didn't even think about it, but we now have it. Anyway, one more giant, "Thank you," and please have fun.
I just had to come back after all these years to say, this is one of my favorite things in the game Thank you for uploading and of course thx to Jokerine and FluffEisenkette!
No, the Official Skyrim Geographic Survey mentions that topographical conditions in Whiterun and Solitude are ideal for both Emperor and Jarl Penguins.
I love penguins and Pingu, just one thing... I don't know if there's such a thing like the south pole in Tamriel but... penguins in the north?? Skyrim is very cold, but its cold enough for penguins?... XD Well, very cool mod and textures. (no pun intended)
I'm inclined to agree, to a certain extent. We don't need to saturate the area with them, but maybe add another 3 or 4 rookeries, as DominatorLegend suggests, on the islands and ice floes further out to sea. I went all the way from Windhelm to about halfway between Winterhold and Dawnstar before I saw a single penguin. I think it might be nice to have an option to have twice as many of them per spawn as well.
I might even look into how this is achieved and see if I can edit it myself for my own personal use (I have no idea what I'm doing BTW).
Great mod guys, pair nicely with Animallica in diversifying Skyrim's wildlife! One suggestion / request though - is it possible you (either Tooneyman or Jokerine) could add some sound effects to them please? I'm no David Attenborough, but I think penguins in the wild are fairly noisy creatures, whereas the ones in this mod are silent. I think it would really add some life to them if they had some sound effects. See video below for an example of what they sound like :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHjolA8GQLQ
