For those that can't get it to work or get it to work with Nords, Please place the esp at the lowest possible point of the Load Order. Thanks.

    NOTE:
This will alter any race mods you have. It is only beneficial for VANILLA race mods. I can't seem to find a work around right now. I even tried combining esp files in CK. Maybe once I do more research. But if you just use VANILLA races. This works fine.

FOR RS CHILDREN: MAKE SURE THIS IS ABOVE RS CHILDREN OR YOU WILL GET CHILDREN WITH PLASTIC POTATO FACES. (will consider making a patch soon like I did for USSEP. This is the fix for now.

Due to the hair textures not being DESATURATED, Pure silver and white isn't really possible. I tried to add more blue to it to override some of the brown color, but for most hair, you will still get brown/blondish look. The only real way to fix this is to desaturate the hair colors. :/ Sorry guys. I know how to desaturate hair and make new dds files, so if you know the specific hair you want, I can always make an optional section and incorporate some hair textures there, but I don't want to steal from mod authors. :O

Just for the record, this works perfectly (after 10 minutes so far) for me in 2023.

I installed this today because I just started fussing with new hair styles and it's a disgrace how few color options we have even with the weird KS mod that adds new colors as unique hairstyles for some reason. I'm using Change of Face to tweak my hair now that my character is made, and I love the Big Head Mod. There's a few other mods that add sliders apparently, but Racemenu didn't work for me (just added a menu called $EXTRA) and Enhanced Character Edit doesn't play nice with Big Heads, so it had to go. (Maybe someday I'll play with normal sized heads, but right now in my life I need the cartoony proportions.)

So thanks, Kaladoon! Even after this was abandoned seven years ago, it's bringing people like me good vibes.

I _still_ enjoy this mod and keep coming back to it. Has the best shade choices and variety of anything out there and I've never had any issues with this mod. I'm about to download it yet again, lol.

Just out of curiosity, Are you planning on fixing it so it works on Custom races? Because I have am playing with a mod that adds a Naiad race and she would look cool with blue hair :D
     Just wondering

As much as i love this mod and even if it wasnt being worked on again it was still in my top five but sadly i had to delete it because it kept causing a blackface glitch on any vampire characters.

*Cries because she loved Haladoon's super cool hair colors mod* But...but I don't wanna use ece or skyse or whatever it's called not until the thing's stable! (Lol). I loved this one very much Haladoon, especially because you offered a LOT more red hair colors than the game offered. Sadly it's not working at the moment otherwise I'd be making a snazzy high elf with redhair again! And of course a super 'don't mess with me or I will hex you with magic' attitude that my high elf Tanira had:)

Added this to tracking because hoping you won't abandon it completely due to having been wonderful least for me personally:) As for 'creation club' ugh...they should be fixing the faces of the characters and the outfits or making two-handed mage staffs instead of throwing out stuff I don't even want lol. Btw...I. LOVE. YOUR. MODS!:-D

Im sorry to see this is no longer supported but I still love it and still rather use it than using whats basically a test version of skse currently. It works perfectly for me still minus the vampire face problem it caused XD but I'll find another mod or sumthin to fix that eventually. Anyway Love the hair colors!

I understand. I use the updated SKSE as well as Enhanced Character edit without issue, I've even been adding oldrim mods that use skse and they work perfectly! Hopefully more SKSE updates will get released soon so people feel comfortable using it. Creation Club has made the progression a pain in the neck, I wish it never existed. xD Thanks for the complement. Yes, we made so many patches that it just got out of hand and I'm trying to work on some other mods I've made over time as well as new ideas.

ECE does in fact work fine. It may have been the way it was set up. I know its frustrating. The reason I'm not comming back to this one is because, due to ALL the mods that are out. It seems like over 20 of them touch races and all this mod became was making patch after patch after patch, then patches conflicting with patches. Then load order issues, etc. Thank you for the kind words. When you say update, what do you mean exactly? Is there not enough hair colors or are you having an issue with a conflicting mod? I'll let you know my thoughts. Thanks!

      BTW, cute elf!

Hi! Thanks for making this mod. My last computer HD crapped out and I lost all my original Skyrim character saves, one of my old dark elf chars had very dark purple hair so I'm glad there's a mod up that comes close to that color. If/when you have time, would you consider making much darker variants of each color? Even the darkest purple is still pretty bright in direct light. Kinda like almost black but with a purple hue would be nice.

is there a chance that you might make a patch for the half-dragon race?

Its not hosted on the sse nexus, but the original oldrim version has a patch to allow you to use it with sse.

A real shame about the white and grays though, real shame. On top of that Total Character Makeover 1.2 removes the white/gray hair from the vanilla selection and replaces it with a blond hair, a fact which I dislike most fervently. Would say hate but that's a bit strong of a word. But yea TCM is a nice mod otherwise but just can't stand the agism inherent in it, makes way too many elderly of Skyrim look much much younger. Blergh. The wrinkle removing from so many old characters and the white hair missing.

Anyways. I want white hair. The ones in this mod (1.3) aren't cutting it I'm afraid. The way vanilla colors are un-modded, the white/gray they got in there is a lot more whiter than the one with this mod. This ain't bad but it's much more blonde than gray white.

Maybe you could still work with it, the whites? Would really appreciate it.

Oh, P.S: The brights are _really_ bright! Looks like neon. But that's prolly how you designed it, shock dye etc.

I installed this above Imperious and the imp+warpaint+ hairs patch below imperious. popped it open in ssedit and immediatly noticed the patch does not carry forward changes from the war paints esp it just converts the head parts back to imperious. Is this intended to "literaly" patch the two or just over-writing war paints completely? I tried bashing/merging it with every combination of patches here involved and it refused to auto-pickup the two esp (imperious and the above mentioned patch) and combine them in any helpful way.

Since I don't really know that much about how this works I'm just going to manually carry forward the changes from war paints in the head section because right now my Breton female is crashing in race menu whenever I go below halfway down the eye shape selection bar. Either something here is wrong with patch or I'm conflicting with preexisting material but I have checked it thoroughly for conflicts. It's gotta be a BSA or w/e thing if so. IDK. All I know is right now EVERY NPC or race mod in my loadout is crying ERROR:missing tint layer index!!!, haha.
It would be good I think for my part to know, is this mod intended to over-write the existing head parts available and change them (in large part to Redguard heh) or am I supposed to end up with Nord+Redguard heads available for Nords, Breton + Redguard heads available for Bretons, etc?

One other thing, I have used a lot of your mods.
    Thanks so much sir!
