I know that this mod hasn't been touched for ages, I am just hoping somebody skilled will look here and read this.
This is still a really good mod and since the Interact-Build-Decorate mod by Irondusk, this mod lets me build two beds (any, don't need to be children ones) place them where I want them, and 'mark them' with this mod for two kids, and they actually use it, only for the kids, not for NPCs like the steward, bard, housecarl or a spouse - that marking is a bit different - it requires the player to stand next to the bed for such NPC (while for kids you need to hop on beds, facing the pillows), and then that's just what happens, the NPCs will walk to the bed but never actually sleep in them... I am not sure if that was intentional? Anyhoo, imagine with a few tweaks, we could just add beds that we like for anyone, anywhere - ohhhh the possibilities, and we could port it to Xbox so the poor buggers that don't have Jaxon's positioner could finally have something - Dreaming big :-)
Is there any way to safely remove this mod and its effects? I added it for a mod home and it kind of worked except the children's comments reflected the city they left. Since it won't really work as desired for the mod home, I'd rather not have to go through all 20 steps every time I wish to move. I like the idea of going to the lake house, then the coast, then Solitude, and then even Riften to a different lake.
Late comment, I know, but iirc, it's a bug with the game engine. You have to move them to one of base game and hearthfire homes first, whichever most closely matches the atmosphere of the modded house. I suppose the dialogue only updates when it's a default house.
I hope this works for you, and I'm sorry if it doesn't.
The Spell is called MOVE FAMILY and when you use it, it brings up a series of pop up questions that have you run around and designate different parts of the house (Living room, Children's beds, Etc.) Can confirm this DOES work but I am glitched to undo it. I can make a new custom home after I make the old one and live in it some, but I can't get my kids to move anywhere else. They'll say "Okay we'll move there" and then they just go about their day. Love this mod when it works though. Dragon's Reach Jarl's quarter's is my house now XD
I am using this mod with Castle Gonduin Expanded. Works fine so far. Both my kids go to there rooms and sleep and dinning table to eat in the transitioned downstairs main Hall table. and go do their chores in other rooms I marked. and they even go to the place were I told them they could play. Its the wife that's the issue. I have a follower as a Wife from The Dark Brotherhood Extended mod. Vala. She works with everything else in the game and all my other mods. But when I choose To bring wife over and mark the bedroom spot and the place for her to work she never arrives. I had to go get her and then tell her with a different mod option that this is her house. and now she sleeps downstairs in the servants quarters.????
She is my wife but the options for her do not work. Help..
By the way great mod wish Gonduin would have built this in.
So, I'm trying to get my child to move into a modded house, Falkreath Cottage, which says it specifically works with this mod. I'm trying to adopt a child from the Amyar and Friends mod and it isn't working. I put everything together and placed it all, but I'm still not getting the dialogue option. Does this just not work with those kids?
I had been trying (rather desperately) to get my children into my modded Severin Manor for a while. This is absolutely perfect. It's downright amazing that a 2016 mod that's never been updated manages to such a thing flawlessly. My kids play outside, do chores the same way they usually do and go to bed the same way they would in any vanilla house. Thank you so much!
