Thank you all for your comments and your overwhelming support as always ! I'm glad you appreciate this overhaul and there will certainly be more to come. Also, COTN Falkreath is making good progress as well with screenshots of the WIP Inn coming soon. Don't hesitate to upload some screenshots of those fluffy bears as you come across them in your adventures. Cheers !
if only this wasn't fuzzy. It's just too much of a performance hit for my vr setup. I love the bear variety, I love hte base models, and I love hte skeletons, but this is gonna melt my old 1070.
I never understand these comments, for any game. Literally get a part time job at any fast-food place or deliver for Door Dash for a month and then quit and you can buy a better card. No reason to have a 1070 in 2024. a 2080 is $1000, and $1000 isn't a lot, it just isn't. $1000 every MONTH hurts, once every 5 years is nothing. If you do a GPU for 5 years that's 54 cents a day.
A little question. Is there a reason why the snow bear shell texture in 4k has such a huge file-size? The 2K version within the BSA doesn't have that difference with the rest of the textures. Was it not compressed out of oversight? Snow bears, in 4K, are the only ones causing FPS issues to for me when close, and I believe this is the cause.
EDIT: Since the author's permission allows for modifying and uploading files, I've recompressed the 4K shell texture for the Snow Bear with GIMP. If you're using the 4K textures and experience FPS drops when looking at Snow Bears, try overwriting with this file.
Thanks, I was having the same issue and just reinstalled with the 2K textures instead. This is worth fixing from the author's perspective. Also worth pinning your comment until it gets fixed so that others don't spend ages searching for a solution like me!
Is there any chance you will do the other animals too? I can't seen to find any decent wolf replacer or any other animal one. Thanks in adivne and great work on this mod and your other ones.
Seem to have a weird issue with the hits on the bears not registering. Seems like the increased size screws with their hitbox, as I keep shooting them with arrows and doing no damage.
If you don't like the shell texturing aka fluff on the bears, extract the bsa with a bsa extractor, go to meshes/actors/bear/character assets then for each bear open them nif skope then open 0 ni-node right click every trishape with shell in the name and remove. then press ctrl + s to save.
As a bonus if you don't like the glossiness, open up the first tri shape with the name of the bear(For cave bear - BearCave) click bslightingshaderproperty then at the bottom in block details section you will find a list of shader flags double click the list, on the right side will appear a dropdown arrow click that, uncheck specular and then save.
You can probably do the same for the wall mounted meshes.
That did it for me, didn't seem to break the model and they look fine in whatever weather/time of day.

Or can at least explain, what the Reason was to even use these weird Demon Eyes for them?
