don't know if you've already found him but start at riverwood, head out of the southern/western gate, and immediately take a left. Within the patch of grass you should see him, he will be resting on the ground, not moving and not making any noise.
Or even just type a sentence or two briefly describing his location in the description. I feel like that's much less work than making an entire video to show us where he is, when you could literally take ten seconds to write, "Grunt is here (insert location)."
Grunt is certainly a fierce and loyal companion. He's easily one of my favorite followers and will always be in my load order. The poor thing charges into impossible battles without a stitch of fear in him. I usually stand back and let him do the fighting as I heal him until I'm at a higher level. He's great for my low level characters as I tend to increase the difficulty too much with other mods, so I wind up dead very quickly. As for conflicts, I haven't had any issues with Grunt and other mods.
He is my new best friend <3 I wish there was a capability to name him in game, but as it is I just popped into the CK to give him a name that better fit the save file I was using him in!
I haven't had the issues other have been reporting, such as losing track of him, and he's generally been fine in caves and small spaces (though he has glitched upside down in a cave which was VERY funny). He actually causes less problems than another, smaller, animal follower I've used because he tends to get up and move around a lot when idling, so I don't get stuck in a room because he's standing in a doorway. I do wish he was a little quieter, though.
All in all I love the mod and I love my dear bear friend <3
i tried this mod but unfortunatley it doesnt work well. he will get lost constantly, he gets stuck in doorways and rarely helps in combat. he doesnt follow you alot of the time (one time i lost him for 10 mins went back into the inn and he was behind the inn keeper bugging up and down as he was stuck) tested him in bleakfalls barrow and 90% of hte time he just stood there and didnt bother attacking.. aviod
Edit: also you can interact with his dialoge maybe once. try again and it wont even let you click on anything like hold this or wait etc etc doesnt work.
Maybe a bit too late, but i'm just going to say there's a bears of the north patch collection which includes a patch for grunt https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/48148/?tab=files
For those who can't find him. He is right next to the wall of Riverwood behind the little camp right outside of it. (Note: He is not effected correctly by mods that alter bears.)
