About this mod

As a thief certain details jump out at you, refusing to be overlooked. The Shadowmarks are so obvious to you they may as well be on fire.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
You...are a thief.
You are a member of the renowned Thieves Guild. There is no lock you cannot break, no pocket you cannot pick. No prize is beyond your sticky little fingers.
The Guild is a brotherhood, superficial though it may be, but they look out for each other. One of their clever little tricks is the Shadowmarks. Engravings scattered across Skyrim, the Shadowmarks tell a fellow thief where riches might be found or warn of dangers ahead. Your practiced eyes that tell you a mark's coin purse is overflowing pick out the smallest details and these carvings, unnoticed by the masses, are as obvious to you as the nose on your face.

This mod adds a glow map to the Shadowmarks of Skyrim, making them pop out from their surroundings and becoming much more obvious, more so if you use an ENB preset. The catch is only members of the Thieves Guild know to look for these things so they go unnoticed by everyone else.

I have this categorized under immersion because these things would be glaringly obvious to the eyes of a practiced thief...except YOU don't have the eyes of a practiced thief so...this fixes that.

Changelog:
v. 2.1.0 ported from old Skyrim. Reversioned to 1.0.
Original mod page located here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68628/

v.1.0.1: Fixed the plugin so the edits are applied. Also added an optional file to make the special Shadowmarks book always spawn in Tonilia's inventory.

v. 1.0.2: Added an installation option so no glow is applied to the Shadowmarks. Shadowmarks are still invisible until reading Tonilia's version of the Shadowmarks book.

v. 2.0: Rebuilt the mod from the ground up.
- All Shadowmarks are now accounted for. The marks at Honningbrew Meadery and outside Endon's house now properly enable and swap.
Gulum Ei's fence mark, which was broken in vanilla, now properly appears when you gain him as a fence.
- Compatibility patches have been made for Open Cities and Expanded Towns and Cities. Those files are included in the main download.
- Players can now choose different colors for each Shadowmark.
- Reduced the chance of the book not appearing in Tonilia's stock from 30% to 25%. There is still an option to make it appear 100% of the time.

What this mod does:
All Shadowmarks in the game are normally visible to the player from the moment a new game is created. Thief Eyes aims to make the use of Shadowmarks exclusive to thief characters, namely those that are members of the Thieves Guild. Therefore, all Shadowmarks are now disabled by default. To be able to see them in the world you will need to join the Thieves Guild and read a special version of the book 'Shadowmarks'. The book can be purchased from Tonilia after she gives you your armor, although there is a small chance it will not spawn. So keep checking.

Installation/Uninstallation:
Install like any other mod, preferably through a mod manager. While there are new texture files included with this mod no changes were made to any existing files so you don't need to worry about overwriting anything.

Compatibility:
Compatible with all mods that do not directly edit Shadowmark texture files or the objects they are attached to. Some mods that make cell edits may cause conflicts; if you encounter one, let me know and I'll build a patch.
