For the love of God... why you even bother to take an already heavy textures pack that we don't need (4Ks) and you made it 8Ks?
Even the most rich person in the world, with the most expensive PC, he can't play 8Ks! Its impossible, the technology is not there - yet.

And there are people they actually downloading this! These 160+ people believe, they will see MORE with the 8Ks.... than using very good well made 2Ks! This game is been published in 2011! It has an ancient game engine from 2000!!! It barely handles the 2Ks, not so well the 4Ks (you need a very good machine)...
    ...and you people using 8Ks?????

    Jesus! Totally useless mods.

Literally nothing you said was true, nor does it make sense...

Stop projecting your incapable hardware on everyone else. 8k textures work just fine.

Well first of all I didn't "make" it 8K, the files are the same with the original [SSEUT_armor_4x] and nothing was changed or edited.
Secondly I have a GTX1070 and I can run with some 8K textures without problem. I remember once I ran a 8K mountain texture and had average 60fps. Of course you can't ran full 8K texture for everything in the game (well actually you can if you don't use enb), but you can pick and choose which texture you want to have more details.
Personally I am a sucker for detailed and nice looking armors and weapons, so I will put most of the resource on those. But hey, YMMV.

I'm getting into computer science atm and I really don't believe current technology supports 8k textures, your game likely renders them to a point and stops in a way it's just diminishing returns.. put 4k textures next to 8k textures (in game) and the difference in aesthetic is minute and that s*** slaps fps, while 4k for me is stable (2080ti - i7-9700k - 16Gb Ram) and my s*** is overclocked, I still see fps drops with certain 8k mods

Coincidently, there are actual retextures of these armors that take up less space and look better. No offense intended to this mod author and the time it took to do this but it seems pointless to upscale vanilla textures that much with little noticeable gain when better options exist.

Fair enough, everyone have their preference.
I tried almost all the relative armor retexture on nexus. Those mods you listed plus Rustic Daedric Armor are really high quality and I used them for ages.
Personally I really like the vanilla design and the details of this upscaled retexture.
Yes the differences are small but to my eye it's a really refreshing experience to see those little details on the armor.

Also the reason I reupload this retexture is that people can try out and see if they want the upscaled vanilla style without the need to download the 7GB original files and mess with their current retexture setup too much.

More option is better than no option. The beauty of modding is that you can pick and choose what you like and make Skyrim your own perfect game.
      Have fun everyone!

To prove heleanarodo2012's point wrong I have a copy of LE Skyrim with mostly 4k-8k textures with over 1000 mods in the list covering everything from textures, weapons and armour, NPCs, citys and so on and it runs at 60fps with no crashes.
I only have a 2060 super and 16gb of RAM proving what they said is just plain wrong.

Edit: You can see a clear difference between 2k, 4k and 8k on big things

Will this clash with mods that add other dragon/deadric sets or alters their apparences?

Of course it will crash with other mods that change the appearance of the same armor.
About those who add, it is ok.

Any chance you can make a 4K version?

Probably won't. The "4K" version of the original mod is just 1.9GB so you can easily download it and extract the armor texture you need.
