    Troubleshooting

    - Some effects got stuck or are no longer functioning (eg. stamina is constantly draining, passive health regeneration no longer obey the MCM settings...)

    This is the vanilla conditioning bug and affect many vanilla abilities or mods that add abilities to the player. BUT abilities in Vigor have this bug in mind, just disable the mod in the MCM menu then re enable it. This will automatically remove all abilities then add then back to the player, which always fix this issue until you run at it again. I would actually suggest to do this step every 10 or 20 hours of playtime to make sure nothing is stuck although you can`t see it.

    What difficulty should i play on?

    Up to you, but the vanilla difficulty settings are broken, they modify PC vs NPC and NPC vs PC damage only, that means that on a higher difficulty setting, your followers and summons will be very tanky when compared to you, they`d also deal more damage vs other NPCs. Mods that use this system to increase lethality have this issue as well. Thus balance was made with Adept difficulty in mind, and this is my recommendation. Check this mod if you want to play on any difficulty other then Adept ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/35767?tab=description ) as it solve solve all issues i mentioned previously.

    - The game is too easy/ hard.

    Please tell me a bit more about what other combat/ difficulty mods you use, what is your level, what is your difficulty settings, what weapons you use, how much damage your weapon stat show...

    - But sometimes it is reeeeeally hard.

    If you die in combat and reload in the same area, NPCs have their perks doubled. Guess what, it`s a vanilla bug again, don`t auto reload your last save, instead go to main menu before reloading.

    - I already have X mod that give potions to NPCs, should i disable Potion Distribution in the MCM?

    Not really, just use both if you like to. Vigor will only give potions if the NPC don`t have any of the same type that it`s trying to distribute, besides those mods don`t give then the ability to actually use the potions.

    - Why blocking refunds your health? I played with mod X and it just make block cost stamina only without refunding health.

    Well, then mod X makes blocking perks and enchantments useless, this can be achieve by a couple game settings edits but making block cost stamina while not breaking perks and enchantments needed a workaround.

    - How script heavy is Vigor?

    It is light, potion distribution only work outside of combat, all else work in combat only and everything is event based, number of actor in combat might have bigger impact then the scripts themselves.

    - I get teleported forward when using the Armor System plugin.

    You have a mod that for some reason change the "fKnockbackDamageMult" game setting and is load after Vigor, this seem to have no use in the vanilla game but setting it to 0 actually prevent being teleported when damage taken is negative. Just put Vigor even lower in your load order if you not sure what mod is overwriting it or check SSEdit / Xedit for conflicts.

    Version 3.2 Changelog

    Spoiler:
    Show

    [General]

    This update focused on balancing the armor rating and damage of NPCs throughout different stages of the game.

    Damage - In vanilla low lvls NPCs deal too little damage and high level ones deal way too high damage, this is caused by multiplicative stacking of many different sources (and gets even worse with other difficulty mods) and since Skyrim scaling mix low and high level enemies together it often throw at the player harmless enemies along with 1-shot capable ones. In order to counter this the following changes were made.

    fDamageSkillMin -> From 1.0 to 1.5 (This is the damage multiplier the NPCs get at level 0 with the related skill)
    fDamageSkillMax -> From 3.0 to 2.5 (This is the damage multiplier the NPCs get at level 100 with the related skill, the high value offset that most NPCs have no weapon perks)
    crExtraDamageXXX Perks -> Reduced it`s damage multiplier from vanilla 1.12 / 6 to 1.2 / 3 (Armor System - DT plugin further reduce these multipliers by half to 1.1 / 2). These perks were the biggest offenders when coming to damage balance and unreasonable spikes with high level enemies and some difficulty mods even give it`s own variantion on top of those so for example, a Draugr Overlord have a 4.5 damage multiplier and were given an extra 3, that would cause a multiplicative damage of 13.5, instead of 7.5).

    Other Changes:

    - Increased armor rating scaling for Draugr so that they have twice as much AR (the former value was still too low, now a high level one should have around 200 - 300 AR).
    - Dwarven automatons have 200 AR instead of 150
    - fArmorRatingPCMax -> From 1.5 to 1.25
    - fArmorRatingBase -> From 1 to 1.5
    - fArmorRatingMax -> From 3 to 2.5
    - fDamagePCSkillMax -> From 1.5 to 1.25
    - fBlockMax -> From 0.7 to 0.8
    - fNPCHealthLevelBonus -> From 5 to 0 (removes some sponginess of high level enemies)
    - fDamagedMagickaRegenDelay -> From 2.0 to 1.0
    - fDamagedStaminaRegenDelay -> From 2.0 to 1.0

    [Fatigue]

    - Reduced the stamina cost when swimming from [20% of armor weight + 5] to [10% of armor weight + 2] per second.

    Small Issue, kinda? But I am using this mod, and some reason when jumping in first person, no stamina is consumed.
    But in 3rd person it is consumed.

    It's a small thing but it's really kinda bugging me, pun intended.
    Restarting the mod in the MCM didn't help. Nor uninstalling it, saving without it in, then re-adding it.
    Seems like the issue persists through the different versions so so maybe an incompatibility?

      I get the same thing. I am using Better Jumping, Combat Gameplay Overhaul stripped, 1st person animation Size Matters. So it might have something to do with those.

      Hey ya'll, maybe the stamina consumption is based on the 3rd person jumping animation lol

    With my modlist blocking a hit costs way too much stamina - I get to block maybe 2 regular hits and I'm tapped out (similar for NPCs blocking my hits).

    Is there any way to modify the stamina cost formula for blocking? Detailed instructions would be much appreciated.

      Same here. What I do is I use Vigor for all the features, while parrying and blocking is managed by Deflection (a diff mod).

    out of curiousity, the stamina regen debuff from running, what does this mod define as "running" speed? on keyboard it's fairly simple, but controller users can finely control their speed, just wondering if it's a hard threshold or not.

      I think both running and sprinting is affected, only walking isn't (to a point). When I walk my stamina regen stops, then a couple seconds afterward while walking it returns to normal. Running is the jogging-looking animation with your arms around your lower torso (wasd), sprinting is the full sprint animation (default alt on PC, or usually in some cases shift key), walking is the animation similar to roaming npcs in the holds.

    Do both blocking and parrying eat up stamina? If so... well wouldn't it be better to have blocking reduce damage taken and cost stamina, while parrying cost only a fraction of that stamina and also reduce all damage done to you?

    Great mod, one of the best combat mods truly

    Hi may I ask the OP or anyone with the knowledge here how to edit the Damage Threshold (DT) reduction value? In my current settings even enemies with 300 AR would die in 2-3 chops with a War Axe. Is there a way we can customize it to our own tastings? I checked in xEdit and I was confused which thing I could or should edit?

    Actually author can we get an MCM menu for the DT plugin as well so we can implement our own personal spins on it?

    For example, according to my console, most of the "heavily armored" enemies in my game currently has an AR of 300 or so and it stops a total of... 24 points of damage from swords? For personal use is there a way we can edit it so each AR can block more damage?

    Also since the mod came out many new weapon types have come out in the modding space. For example, guns & muskets with its own keywords. Say if I wanna edit it so DT ignores 0.01 per DR to musket/gun damage (thanks to its tremendous power) how should I update it?

    Thank you very much!

    Global HP Regeneration feature doesn't work on NPCs reliably. Sometimes it affects them, sometimes it doesn't.

    This mod is great in VR but it turns out that it breaks the crosshair for magic aiming and it's literally impossible to hit anything with magic now.

    Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    EDIT:

    I actually managed to fix this by restoring the aiming distance with xedit back to the original value

      Any insight on how to do this? Where exactly do you go in xEdit? I would have thought better in the Skyrim VR Tweaker by Bilago...

      EDIT: hol up, found something here, which Ima try.

    i have question. when i take a hit and im blocking i do take damage to stamina, but before that briefly life takes damage and recovers. Question, does this short lose of life reduce poise meter? If so that would mean that stamina would take a hit twice- from block and then from sub zero poise.

    1. I appreciate you updating the old mod page and mentioning this is the new supported version.
    2. Is the injury system still being used in this mod or did you take it out? I didn't see anywhere that it was mentioned. If you did take it out why did you decide to do that? If it is still in the game has anything changed from the original. (also does the injury system work on enemies also, I remember it not working on other npcs just the player)

      Thanks! one of the things I loved about the original vigor injury system is the blurred vision with a head injury and such, does this mod also blur vision with a head injury? Also how does this mod differ from the vigor and combat system that does include that stuff?

      Only crappy part is someone has to SPIDify the injuries or else you're running the dreaded cloak spell to apply wounds to NPCs.

      I'd recommend using Injuries for both PC AND NPCs at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) instead in combination with Vigor - Enhanced Combat.
