Apparently this needs the be said if you are about the make a comment about how the Scottish Bannered Mare is not ported and this is a sh*t mod you can do three things, port the mod over yourself. You literally need to unpack 1 BSA and your done, next is wait for the mod to be ported over by the original creator. And Finally if you still feel the need to post a comment, you can suck a fat one.
for anyone interested https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21887 (it's the combination that includes the scottish bannered mare) freshly ported (would probably need a patch for this to work though)
Hah..... to take the whole discussion in a new direction...
You actually can use the lovely "Bannered Mare Home" in OLDRIM
You should post it there as well!
The only minor hickup I found, the wardrobe in pic 2 is having doors now and blocking access to the chest inside. (No big deal, used Jax Positioner to fix; but maybe sb 's having a bit more elegant idea how to remove the doors again)
Anyway...
Great idea! Excellent made! Very nice mod, thank you
So I have an issue with this and I'd like to know what other people's experience is with this.
First, I am using iWil's all-in-one. I changed the master dependency in TES5Edit. Loaded up fine.
Second, I was able to purchase the home for ~ 6k septims. Ladder is present on the right attic. However, there is a big gaping hole (above entry foyer to Bannered Mare) between the left side of the attic where the door to the room is. What this present in the old version? Is the ladder moveable? (I don't believe it is or would be.)
Otherwise, everything present and accounted for. The furniture shows up after buying.
I've got the useless shop overhaul version of the scottish bannered mare. Is it still okay for me to download this or does it absolutely have to be that specific esp? o:
Didn't even know there was a all in one, will have to make a patch for that. The bannered mare specific esp is a master file to my mod so currently yes you will need the specific bannered mare mod.
why are you people so scared to use Oldrim mods? Im using a tonne of texture packs weapon retextures locations armor. there is no harm in it. yeah sometime a mesh is messed up and you find that mod not working like the Vivid textures series for instance. But this folks is a simple bsa extraction. its very easy and not harmful at all. so i dunno why you guys are worried about it being ported. it doesnt need to be. It takes no work. the author prolly wont bother since it works in SSE already.
"why are you people so scared to use Oldrim mods?"
I dunno, maybe because in the one month I've had SSE I've had to re-install the game nearly a dozen times because of manual Oldrim ports. And given I can only get 300kb/s download speed at best (27 hour install window). The novelty wears off extremely quickly.
Some of us just want a playable game. Not have to faff with .bsa files because the author won't patch "such a simple job" into their mod to make it usable.
Is there a chance you could make this compatible with the useless Shops Overhaul Beta that has the Scottish Bannered Mare included? No biggie if its a no go but figured why not ask.
All you have to do to install Scottish Bannered Mare is
1. Download the mod manually 2. Extract it into a folder 3. Use QuickBsaExtractor (search on the Nexus) to extract the bsa file 4. Drop the resulting texture and mesh folders + the .esp file into your data folder.
then don't use it, nobody is forcing you. Also its so easy to do yourself all you have to do is unpack the BSA and your done. Don't b&@*$ in the comments
Believe me I have no intention to do so, currently enjoying a cozy atmosphere in a beautifully made Elianora home that like soo many other home mods took zero effort on my part to admire.

Took me 2 minutes with no modding experience.
