As already reported below, the armor causes a CTD on female characters. There is however a way to fix it, simply run SSE Nif Optimizer on the meshes of the armor.
It means the esp file wasn't properly ported to SSE, which is dangerous and may cause save game corruption.
To properly port an esp file, you need to open it with the new Creation Kit and save, hence the "Load and save DragonCarvedArmorSet.esp with the Skyrim SE CK" message. The crashes I mentioned are not related to this problem, but to the meshes themselves, which were also not ported correctly. These issues are fixed in this mod, which I recommend anyone using if they want this armor.
The error is given because Oldrim uses Form i.d. 43 for meshes, while SSE uses Form i.d. 44. In order to update the mod properly, it needs to be loaded in the SSE Creation Kit, changed and saved...
And to not get a smiley when adding a D after an apostrophe is to leave a space between the two...
As much as I love this mod, you didn't port it correctly: -The gauntlets' mesh is causing some visual bugs on females; -The non-pauldron cuirass causes some visual bugs on the females with the weight slider at minimum/skinnier version (some _0 file is not ported correctly); -The non-pauldron cuirass causes CTDs on females when their weight slider is neither all the way to the right nor all the way to the left.

"Wrye Bash SSE expects a newer format for WEAP.CRDT then found.

Error in DragonCarvedArmorSet.esp"
(the smile is uppercase d)
Not sure if it's in any way related to the issues EnderBlazer posted before, since I'm not a skilled modder either, but maybe it could prove helpful.

Other than this, I love the armor!

I'm sorry I don't know how to fix it for females.
By chance, did you ever get a notification "One or more blocks have had their Name sanitized" in NifSkope?
