Hey I love the idea. So I tried it out. Unfortunately there is a lot of clipping with the Warmth leather armour and your mesh for the "helmet". I have tried the Novice Hood though and it has absolutely no clippping with the leather armour. And it even looks better in my opinion. You might try it out. I would be happy about an optional file.
There is a small amount of clipping around the collar at the front but i thought it was minimal and acceptable, but yeah not 100% perfect, the Novice Hood does look ok, but i liked the idea of having the wrap-around-over-the-shoulder effect of the mini cape.
I like the look of the neck and shoulder cover too. It always bothers me, seeing my executioner's hood coming to a sudden cut off point at my guy's neck, well above his scale armour.
You ought to put a few hood replacers or standalones together, with optional shoulder covers.
The only other thing that bothers me about helmets and hoods, aside from that helmets are just plain ugly...hoods hide the face too much. So I spend most of my time wearing nothing on my head.
