Just as a point of information, this is not compatible with Complete Alchemy and Cooking overhaul. That mod completely reworks and changes all the ingredient effects from vanilla. If you use that mod, this book (and similar) will be useless.
Other than that, This is a nice book, plays well with most alchemy shack mods I've tried, and does exactly what the tin says. If you're ok with standard game alchemy this is really handy.
Thanks for the tip! I really wanted to use this mod since it'd make being an alchemist so much more immersive, but then I remembered I have CACO installed, which changes everything.
I have run into an issue however, when placed on the side in some areas it can disappear. It would be great if there was some way to get the book back or maybe spawn it from the MCM menu or have merchants sell it or place it in more places in the world?
I don't know, for not I've just re-downloaded but thought I'd throw a report on here. Thanks for the mod!
does this just contain a typed out list of the vanilla ingredients, or does it read the ingredients from the game and generate a book based on them? cause I've played with different mods that add and/or adjust the effects of ingredients (ESPECIALLY the Complete Alchemly and Cooking Overhaul mod...) so if it's the first case, it would be worse than useless to me, but if it's the second then it'd be a godsend of a mod to pick up
This mod and mods like it should take it to the next level, separate the recipes into various books that have varying difficulty to obtain.
Three main books (types); 1. Common recipes (found in most alchemy shops), 2. Poison recipes (mostly found on fences, other rare dealers), and 3. more powerful recipes that maybe not so well known by the average Joe. Rare recipe books could be even harder to find, maybe only in a quest or something.
Hey can I grab an ID for it? The Alchemist Shack is somehow nonexistant and I can't figure out a way to fix it even after I tried shuffling and disabling other mods.
Yes on the first one, unsure on the second one. This book lists each of the effects for an ingredient, so if that is changed by a mod then of course it won't match up.
