The drum is so beautiful and looks amazing in my kids' rooms now. :> Love the wood colored lute, too, it looks great in the Hearthfire Baths, for example. And the new color tint on the flute is much better, now it doesn't look like a giant hollow noodle anymore. :D
i like playing close to vanilla, just as much as breathing some fresh air into the game, so if it´s possible i always try to offer an alternative vanilla themed version. Happy you like it, thanks a lot!
Would it be possible to get this mod for the flute and drum, then use another mod for the lute? Or would it just over wright over this mod? I love the look of both the drum and flute, but like another mod for the lute. These look great just not what I like.
Sure you can add another lute. Itll just overwrite the existing lute. Drum and flute won't be affected. If you're interested, I released an overhaul for the Witcher Lute last week. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28283
Thank you so very much for doing the lute over again. The vanilla was okay except for that ugly yellow center on the face and general lack of any real LOD. The first remake honestly looked washed out and unfinished. The engravings were nice. But, the body was the color of sun bleached drift wood. It's why I originally passed on this mod. I play the mod Become a Bard every play through Skyrim. So, for my characters the lute is always there and often used to earn a few gold and a night's rest in an inn. The vanilla red color was fairly close to the best finish ever put on any stringed instrument... Gibson Heritage Cherry. I like that you kept the brass accent and gave the remaining body that picture perfect Gibson Heritage Cherry appearance. Not a factory fresh finish but one that has faded beautifully as it has been loving played for many decades. The new lute has the look a treasured gem that has been handed down through several generations. I also like that you kept the best feature from your initial effort, that beautifully intricate and elegant rosette encompassing the sound hole. Thank you sincerely Rally I'll get you some screenshots ASAP!!! PS: I've been using your SSE conversions of Andragorn Weapons and Nico's Gift for about a year now and they are still among my favorite weapons in game. I'm glad to have found an exceptional mod that you've authored yourself. This recent version could not be more perfect.
First of all, thank you very much for this very nice write up and your kind words! Nice someone recognized the intention I had :) have a signature Les Paul myself so i get your connection to that instrument ;) I'm really looking forward to your screenies TIA for that!!! :) You're da best mate, take care
Just stopped by with some performance images. I was in the Winking Skeever to meet with Gulum-Ei for the Thieves Guild anyway. So, I hit Corpulus up for a gig while I was there. There's a great shot of Anja playing the drum, a couple of close up shots of the fabulous flute inlays and lots of lute shots too I'm going back in game now. But, I still have many more gigs yet unplayed in this play through. So, if y'all like what you see I'll be happy to post more. I will change up the venues, outfits and followers to help keep it interesting. These textures really hold up well under magnification. I drilled in with the magnification both in my photos and on Nexus. Even when I magnified to the point where the strings looked like round wounds with ridges down their sides those inlays and accents were still sharp and crisp. Very impressive! More to come if y'all like these Adventure on friends! But, now I have a crooked Argonian to follow whom I suspect has been working for an enemy! (But, we all know it's really Karliah behind it all... Right?) Cheers phatbassanchor
