Parallax can also cause a similar meme, NiTriShape>BSLightingShaderProperty>Shader Flags 1> *Scroll down until you see parallax and if it is checked uncheck it*

    Are texture paths case sensitive?

    IE...

    textures\actors\character\female\FemaleBody_1_sk.dds

would still be the same as...

    textures\actors\character\female\femaleBody_1_sk.dds

    ::EDIT::

Never mind. It seems that it does not matter if it is case sensitive or not, as other things work in game and some do not, all from the same mod.

Could be a problem with there being NiTriStrips in the nif.

If that is the case, you have to load them up in Nifskope, select Spells > Batch > Triangulate all strips, then follow the rest of the steps posted in the description.

im having the same issue. im trying to get the imperials to have pants and sleeves, there is a mod for it for old skyrim, i tried your trick to get it into the new skyrim but it does not work, i do have a niftristrip in each armor but i do not have the option "spell -> batch -> triangulate all strips" below are links to the files here on nexus:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50540/? <-stormcloak officer with sleeves and pants
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50281/? <-imperial solders with sleeves and pants

any ideas and help would be great

    Hi,

I tried your fix with an armor mod that replaces hold guards' meshes but now my game crashes every time I go windhelm (this makes sense in a sec). I originally tried your fix to solve some weird texture issues with the guard armors specifically around female windhelm guards. Its kinda difficult to explain the texutre issue but it basically consists of large lines emanating from the guard that sort of stretch and shrink depending how you are looking at the guard. I'll try to upload a video.

    Thanks in advance.

    Edit:
    Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3Tiya9JtEY

Edit: pinpointed the source to being the Cloak: Stormcloak hide that the guard was wearing.

As this won't get the "endorsement"-attention it definitely deserves you are a true hero my friend. Thus I just felt the need to throw you kudos and a personal "thank you so much." All the best!

I just want to thank you so much for this simple, but effective guide. Once I was actually able to find the mesh file (was part of a huge mod) I got it working in SE! Hopes this helps others as much as it has help me. Cheers~

How exactly did you do that? And are you talking about The Fudou Katana? lol I wish that some one would just port all the best weapon and armor mods over already lol

I downloaded NifSkope and imported the .nif files from the Meshes folder of the weapon. You then get a tree structure where you can select what you need, there's a visual guide now in the image section and the downloadable .doc file. I'm talking about the Crainte Vomir, the hilt and edges were invisible in SkyrimSE.

@huthuthut83, fudou katana works just fine without any tweaking at least when i ported it, but i do hope this guide will help me fixing some other weapon/armor i had issue with, Thanks.

Also you might wanna upload a .txt version or something ppl can open without office word as not everyone have it.
