Classic, as they say. It's been five years, and nobody's done anything better. Works fine with the new interface mods. So the mod is more relevant than ever.
Hello! Thanks for this nice mod :) I tried to open the swf to edit some colors and I understood how much work you did put in this and the not colored version too, thanks very much!
Tinkering a bit I understood that editing only the shapes makes the resulting animated icons blurry, but the sprites are in the hundreds so unfortunately it's not feasible for me to edit all of them one by one :O If you can give me a tip if there's a way to not have to change all the sprites one by one it would be appreciated =), maybe there's a way to change only the original shape(s) and I just don't know how to change some parameters to make the resulting icons not blur.
Of course I'm not asking for a guide, just tips to which lines to tinker with or if it's not enough to make them not blur maybe the name of a program for creating gif/animations you suggest/used so that I can only edit the starting image and create a gif to replace the sprites with (hoping it is enough to not make them blur). Your sprites are so high quality :-O
Of course for personal use, I would never upload other people work even if edited a lot.
I was afraid adobe flash was the answer (cause they dropped support), thank you anyway for the answer and thanks again for this hidden gem and all your other great and well known mods
After another two failures (another blurry result and a not blurry result but heavy lag on inventory open) I managed to customize them without issue!
I leave the process here for ayone without expertise with ".swf" files.
1. Using JPEXS Flash Decompiler export the "shapes" you want to edit as SVG, set the zoom for export at 10000%. 2. Use a program like "Inkscape" to edit the exported svg. It takes a little time to understand but basically you just need to learn the use of 3 tabs: -Layer and Objects. -Fill and Stroke <-- use only Fill, don't use "Stroke paint" and "Stroke Style", it's difficult to anticipate the result when imported in the swf. -Align and Distribute. 3. After your edit save the file as svg. If the file size increases too much you will have lag on inventory open, to avoid that make sure it stays at max the double of the original shape size, better if only a few kb more. 4. Using JPEXS Flash Decompiler replace the images in the shapes tab with the ones you edited.
Thanks again for this mod, the animations are really really nice, I love them!
I know this is old, but I am confirming that this mod does not work with Dear Diary. I have it placed below DD and MO2 tells me the files from this mod are winning, but it just does not seem to work like that.
I'm having a strange bug where favorited magic effects/spells are showing up as white icons in the favorites menu. Favorited items from inventory remain appropriately colored. Any clues as to what's going on?
