Thanks, you saved me the trouble of writing this myself. My version I had planned to add food, general supplies, and potions as micro-tallies so that it is more immersive to the player rather than just a general cost subtraction. Also while Survival or Frostfall was enabled the player would get their stats refilled (health, magic, hunger, warmth, rest) as a part of the travel cost.
Not so much a fan of the MCM dependency but as they say "if you think you can do better build it yourself".
What a brilliant mod... exactly what I was looking for.... a money sink for fast travel. I installed the mod mid game which seems to be no problem and it works fantastic. With a setting of 0.001 gold, I pay 72 gold for a fast travel from my player home 'Lakeshore Cabin' (which is near Half Moon Mill and Lady Stone) to the nearest carriage transport point 'Whiterun Stables'. Since the entire economy in Skyrim is complete crap and even with mods like 'Hardcore Economy', not picking up armor, weapons, gems and not leveling speech I'm swimming in money in no time, I'm thankful for every money sink I find... Endorsed!
This is a great post, it really convinced to download and try it out. I tried these specific settings and also installed mid-playthrough and it worked wonderfully for me as well. 😊
My only gripe about this mod is that I wish I knew HOW much it cost to travel BEFORE I commit. I've made the mistake of traveling to far and spent too much gold on accident. A simple prompt would have been nice.
using AE (along with 'survival mode setting' mod) it's works just fine ..the only issue is when open the map sometimes it cost fews gold without doing anything (but its just a single gold or 3 so ..not a problem) :D
