UPDATE 04/10/20: Version 2.0 adds a few windows that were overlooked originally. This update adds the two ship windows used on the Katariah, the emperor's flag ship. It also adds the large stained glass window found in the Night Mother's chamber in the Dark Brotherhood headquarters.
Well, here's the first RUSTIC mod ported to the special "cash-grab" edition of Skyrim. I hope this keeps the natives quiet for a few minutes.
You're looking in the wrong place. What you're asking for is something beyond the scope of this mod. My mod is simply a retexture of the original windows, that's all.
well you probably right, but because its a texture so i asked you, like normal one and parallax texture should be different right? sorry if im wrong.. and also thx for the response
By default, the Skyrim windows do not have parallax. Therefore, my textures would not work with mod that adds parallax to the windows. You need matching textures for that effect to work properly.
I checked with Pfuscher on this because I started to panic when I read they wouldn't be compatible together. His response:
07 February 2022, 2:46PM My windows don't have parallax, I think there aren't even window meshes included. Too many conflicting and I want to make new windows with better models anyway. Don't worry my mod shouldnt do any harm to any effect with windows.
So it "looks" like your Rustic Windows will work with his Skyrim 2020, at least until he gets around to making his own. And I put looks in quotes because this is Skyrim and you just never know.
Some of the Riften meshes provided in Pfuschers 2020 texture pack "3 of 3 Other" have ELFX windows with external_emittance, rim_lighting, no glow shader, and custom ELFX textures that will overwrite Rustic Windows.
However if you install his separate Parallax Mesh cities packs and overwrite, those seem to all have typical window meshes with glow shaders on the side, which is what plays well with Rustic. Still investigating all this.
Gonna ask the question here since, well honestly idk where else to ask it. I've started a new game recently and some of the windows in Riften are purple, ie they have missing textures. Thought it was this mod at first but it happens without it as well. Thought it was Skyland but that mod doesn't have riften window textures. Thought it was something dumb like Lux, not it either. I've tried verifying game files to no avail, the windows on Haelgas bunkhouse and every other house that has the same window texture as that one is purple. Anyone know what one could do to fix this?
I had this problem too, it was Flickering Meshes Fix mod causing it for me I extracted Bee n Barb nif from skyrim meshes BSA, added it as a mod and looked at what it was overwriting in MO2
SpectraBlank Thank you so much for making this comment. It was easy for me to do a goggle search to find a topic about the same issues that I was having.
macdaddy1176 Thank you for your response. Flickering Meshes Fix was causing the same problem for me.
Biggest problem with these Texures, they are saved in SRGB, triggers the snow strife bug in windhelm, SRGB is not supportet for SE, im wondering why no one has ever pointed out here. I tryed to resave then in BC7, but there is a quality loss, because for good result you need the original texture (uncrompressed).
Vortex is making weird suggestions in terms of ELFX and Rustic Windows, and also Rugnarok. it suggests loading ELFX BEFORE Rugnarok but, it also suggests loading ELFX AFTER Rustic Windows. Is that correct, should ELFX always be loaded Before or After these mods?
Rustic Windows only includes texture files. It has no meshes in it. I have my load order set to load ELFX before Rustic Windows so I can use the ELFX meshes with the Rustic textures, and I personally haven't seen anything wonky in my game as far as graphical issues.
Gamwich, спасибо за мод! А можно версию с ещё меньшим свечением окна? Ведь в домах горят свечи, но на улице окна такие светлые как будто внутри включена люстра электрическая.
Can I use your other RUSTIC mods - that you made for LE - in SE? The mod that makes me fall in love with them was your version of enchanting table. But sadly, you didn't make it for SE.

Enjoy,

my biggest problems with the windows is : at night, all of the windows are illuminated, -there's a light on in every corner of every house ?
this is terribly un-immersive.
can we get some random dark windows at night, or some half bright windows..

I'm just doing my new modlist now, so will focus on weathers, perks, magic and combat and then will come back.
Thanks! :)
