New version 1.2.0 is out fixing the incompatibility with the latest version of SKSE.

    Thanks shizof!

If you still have connection issues even after installing the latest version, please make sure you don't have SkyrimVR.exe blocked in your firewall. This mod makes a connection through port 9999. Blocking outgoing connections of SkyrimVR.exe prevents this mod from connecting to your plug.

Can confirm the Kasa Smart Outdoor Smart Plug by TP-Link (KP401) works with the newest firmware (1.0.2 at the time of writing). Wish more than one plug could be used.

Has anyone gotten this to work with a non Kasa or TP-link plug?  Would a modern new one by them work as those models have been phased out or should I look online 2nd hand for one?

Same question, does it have to be TP-Link? I have many other smart plugs.

I think so, I had a bunch of other brands and getting to play together just ended up being a major exercise in futility.  Ended up just ordering a Tp-link (new model worked fine) of Amazon for 9 dollars.

      SO WORTH IT.

needa try this. Meta or some company should buy this and make a fan install kit for their games,

Wonder if this could work for other things to like having a heater turn on when near or using fire and that stuff.

The most crazy scientist idea, love it! Tp-Link HS* series is at the end of life cycle, not able to buy them in europe. Any updates coming for example P-series?

You might have seen this device but just in case :) Govee now have a fan which seems far more controllable being able to set the speed over wifi and maybe even turn on and off the oscillation of it I think.. It's not cheap though..

I wonder if the mod would be able to tap into something like this? Just a thought! :)

This mod is remarkably fun! I just have a small Vornado fan, but having a breeze hit you when you leave a building and step outside is just hard to describe.
Setup was remarkably easy (and this is coming from someone who has struggled getting a Smart Home set up). It just kind of works.

The recommended TP-Link HS100 has been EOL'ed by TP-Link. I found a TP-Link Kasa SmartPlug HS103 at Amazon and Best Buy, and it works. I also updated the firmware with no problems. For the intermittent standard setting, the constant clicking from the SmartPlug (it is cheap and uses a mechanical switch inside)  might be a bit distracting if you don't use headphones.

This mod is amazing! It's so wild going from inside a tavern to the outside and a breeze actually hits you haha.
Would it be possible to have a second smart plug to activate when fire spells/shouts are used in the vicinity? Then connect that to a fan heater.

Damn, those models of smart plugs have entered end of life and arent being sold anymore (in my country atleast). Wish I could intergrate this with my home assistant setup ):
