I downloaded the meshes fix which fixed the dragonbone textures but now the dog itself is purple and missing textures even tho the texture files are there :") I even tried using just the 'Stark' textures to see if i can get a black fur vigilance but still only the dragonbone textures are showing. Does the new vigilance.nif file messes up the textures? Can this be fixed using SSEedit, i can't seem to figure out the problem. Ty!
yeah, I tried going into file conflicts on vortex and changed the fur textures to vigilance reborn se, but kept the model texture implemented for the armor by the patch mod to the patch, still didn't work. so- I really dunno what i'm missing here, it's effectively the same thing as overwriting, it's allowing vigilance reborn to use it's textures for the dog, and the model given by the patch to remain.
Of couse it doesnt work.! LOL I was working with that mesh for Meeko mainly and forgot to change texture folder for Vigilance nif... Im sorry..:( I just saw the comments... and didnt know about the issue before. This one should work fine... small fix added: EDITED

Using the "resurrect" command is a partial fix for him still showing up as vanilla, every now and then you might need to type it again if he takes a fatal amount of damage (even if he is essential) or if you fast travel. If you gave him items use "resurrect 1" the normal resurrect command resets his inventory, this one doesn't.
I did a dumb and killed Banning in the cannibal quest. I didn't realize he was part of the cult. I played for quite a while before I went to go get Vigilance, that's when I realized my mistake. Is there a way to get Vigilance still? I tried placing banning at me, it let me purchase Vigilance from him, but when I went to talk to the dog nothing happened.
Just started a new game with both this mod and markarth outskirts installed, and vigilance appears as the vanilla dog. Not sure if its a compatibility issue or I just missed something in the fomod for mk outskirts, but I thought I'd ask on here and see if anyone else had the same issue? Thanks!
For anyone who has issues with the correct skin showing up. try disabling and re-enabling Vigilance in game using the console. I do not know why this may work, but in my case it did finally show the Stark skin that I had installed vs the purplish standard dog body.
Vigilance appears as his vanilla version for me. As far as I can see there are no overwritten files, nor are there any conflicting records when checking in xEdit. When spawning Vigilance with the base ID through console commands the model used in this mod appears correctly. However, the Vigilance at the Markath gate is vanilla. I am completely lost on what causes this issue. Any ideas?
Are you using the dwemer version, by any chance? I've found that all the other versions work fine, but the dwemer version just acts as though the mod is not installed. Vanilla appearance, no horn to pick up, nothing.

Okay i think i cracked the nut. Needs new game. Still, i was after Dawnguard version, which seems not to work, but i'm happy it now works.
