Absolutely loving this! I definitely prefer it to Arma Thalmoris.
One question: would it be viable to create an Ecotone Dual Sheath patch for this? I had tried patching it via their own patcher script in xEdit and the other way they recommended, but neither seemed to work for it. :/
I think it'd be absolutely awesome to see the shields on my character's (and other Thalmor character's) back! Especially with that AD logo emblazoned on the shield.
If someone else has custom made a patch, can someone link it for me? I couldn't seem to find one via either Google or here on Nexus...
Well, both Arma Thalmoris and Thalmor Armory change the equipment used by the Thalmor, so you can't run them together and get all the features of both. If you want to try to use items from both mods, load the mod with the items you want to see on the Thalmor lower than the other mod. You should be able to craft/find items from the other mod for the player's use.
That is, if you want Thalmor to use Arma Thalmoris equipment, load Arma Thalmoris lower than Thalmor Armory, and vice-versa. There might be some minor conflicts, but nothing game breaking.
My advice would be to just use the mod you like best, it keeps things simple. If you have different characters you could alternate between the two mods for variety.
+1 on this, basically as it currently stands in my LO the thalmor carry a set of each. Both of your mods are excellent and you should honestly collaborate.
yeah there's a hidden effect i think that when your a high elf you can wear Thalmor robes and walk around but if you get too close they'll obviously attack, it would be so cool to see this implemented OH and you can even get past the guard leaning against the door with a high enough speech skill though apparently it doesn't work fully as intended It was set to only the hooded robes not the ones you can find right before you go outside to the guards but the unofficial patch team has fixed this and even made this work with elven armor here's the coolest part on the Pages is listed the effect
here the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages make more sense about this than I do: UESP
fair enough though i don't know how adding a script that triggers ONLY under the condition of being on the quest would break anything its not like it's even that OP as guards can still see through the disguise (and it is a vanilla script so i would assume it'd be fine) but tbf i'm not a modder so i wouldn't know however with all that being said it's your mod so you do what you want with it though oh also i think you'll be interested to learn the Unofficial patch team managed to make it so the only the hooded robes would work with other races so IF you did decide to add it it would be cool if only the masked armor (i think enforcer armor) would give the disguise to other races
Oh, I'm not questioning the validity of your suggestion, but scripts and quests are my weakest points when it comes to modding. I'll have a look at the Thalmor Embassy quest when I have time, if it's not too intimidating I might take a shot at editing it.
This is beautiful, and since some of my Thalmor spawn with aMidianborn variants or Vvardenfell glass, all of these look nice next to each other. The styles work together well.
Thank you. I'm making an Open World Loot patch that also includes two other mods that add thalmor equipment, but I'm just going to go with Thalmor Elven to go with the Thalmor Steel, because they look like retextured elven weapons.
I dont get it. What is the first download for? If the second one puts the armor on the actual Thalmor, the first one puts it in the game but they don't use it?
The main file equips Thalmor with the equipment from this mod. The optional file replaces ALL elven equipment with the models from this file, whether it is found on Thalmor, found elsewhere, or crafted.
ahh cool. I'm new to modding SSE. Haven't even played the game yet, lol, other then testing all these cool mods. Yours' is defiantly a keeper. Thank you.
I originally had plans for a heavy armor set, I think I had even started working on it, but I got sidetracked with other mods. I may get back to it at some point.
That depends on whether they use vanilla NPCs and leveled lists, or add their own. If it's the latter case then the new NPCs would have to be modified to use items from this mod. Using the mods together shouldn't break anything though.
Hi. So, with the mod i won't see vanilla elven armor on thalmor soldiers at all? I know mages or Justiciars are untouched. I am asking about the soldier units.
Yes, that's correct. If you install in the middle of a playthrough it's possible that some NPCs that have already been loaded in the game may retain their default equipment, but you'll mostly get them in this armor.
Ok. What about other armor mods that gives new armor to these thalmor soldiers? I am wondering will I see armors from both your mod and such mod on the thalmor soldiers? Because It would be nice to see armor from both mods on the soldiers.
Other mods that edit Thalmor soldiers' equipment will conflict with this one, as they would be trying to change the same things. Whichever mod is lowest in your load order will win over the others, and you will only see items from that mod. However, if a mod happens to add NEW Thalmor NPCs with new equipment it could still be used together with this one.
You could try it, but I suspect you'd end up with soldiers wearing mismatched pieces from multiple sets, which I guess is not what you want You're probably better off picking the mod you like best and sticking with it.

Not sure why everyone recommends Ecotone if it requires so much setup for modded weapons and whatnot...
Either way, it works great with Simple Dual Sheath. So no worries!
