Thanks! Been going through my load order, trying to cut out older mods that are causing grief.
Wish there was a community No Bueno list for mods that are known to cause grief and their modern day replacements (not a dig at mod authors, it's programming, new practices are developed over time through trial and error. It's a normal part of the dev cycle).
I have recently port a fantastic mod on xbox ( https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/60399/Rainbows_over_Waterfalls ). This is "Rainbows over Waterfalls" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/101348 ans it's based on your assets. Unfortunaly, i don't have asking your autorisation...
So... can I use your assets that are in this mod? Of course, if you accept, i put in description your nexus page. If you refuse, know that i will understand, i will erase this portage.
No matter your choice, thank for your incredible job and for community! And, sorry for this omission. Excuse me once again.
I've been using this for a long, long time. In that time I have enjoyed it immensely.
Skyrim mods have only got better and better since this was released, and the successors, I'm led to believe, are much kinder to your game and don't cause any lag or issues that this one can.
If you want to use this mod, I highly suggest you get the successors instead. But, thank you Isoku for doing such wonderful work and making mods we can't live without.
I have to clarify a couple of things; The mods Rainbows and Shooting Stars are not successors but merely individual direct ports of the original mods made by Isoku. To my knowledge they have simply been cleaned and turned into ELSified. Now if I recall correctly, within the mod Wonders of Weathers, there is an option to turn off the splashes themselves leaving the other two mods merged into one. If I am wrong someone please correct me.
There's also the interior rain sounds which still makes this mod relevant.
I'm using Obsidian Weathers without True Storms (due to many fog conflicts with Rudy's ENB) and Wonders of Weathers for the interior rain/thunder sounds. Also I disabled splashes effects in the MCM and use Splashes of Storms mod instead.
I feel like my huge modlist just started loading and running so much faster after removing this one and installing the successors instead. Many thanks! IMO, the lack of the overly loud and annoying interior rain sounds now is a massive perk as well.
Beautiful simple mod that just gives Skyrim that finishing touch of beauty. Been playing and modding Skyrim since it came out and this has always been a favorite. Please accept my belated endorsement and thanks for the memories :) Cheers
Not sure if anyone needs to know this, but it turns out this mod caused some crashes for me during rainy weather types. If you dig a little you can find some 3rd party fixes (the splashes collide against some objects that should be left alone & make the game crash), but none completely eliminated the issue for me. I used this mod for many years, but I finally decided to part with it. Thanks for all the fish, Isoku. I got a lot of enjoyment out of your mod. :)
I found the same thing. Chopping wood in Riverwood, no NPCs in proximity, heavy rain and thunder. CTD. Crash log cites 5 "possible relevant objects", 2 of which specifically mention this mod. Did I mention there was heavy rain and thunder during the CTD? Deleted the mod.
This mod is beautiful, wonderful and been part of my game for the last few years.
However, there is a successor, using the same assets, without the scripting, so it works more efficiently, no lag or performance loss and no need for patches to stop the CTD issue around dragon mounds.
Splashes of Skyrim, Shooting Stars and Rainbows fully replace WOW and all it's patches/add-ons.

Splashes of Storms

Plus, another recommendation to improve your skies: Moons and Stars - Sky Overhaul SKSE
