It has a hard life since installing Better Third Person Selection - gets banished almost anytime I try to grab some flowers. Removing the collision would solve that problem, but will it still work as before?
Edit: Still delivers full soulgems. Some wolfies tried to bite me..... And it's still banishable by casting any "more expensive" spell or equipping any item with stronger enchantment. Easy to create a "banish spell" or "banish ring". Or maybe just put it itself as an enchantment on a ring. Should work, too.
Any chance of an ESPFE version of this ? Looks like fun but I don't have the slots available for it & it did not appreciate me compressing things myself, presumably due to the scripts involved.
Any chance you can add a dismiss Soulbug spell for this as lost my bug days ago and it hasn't reappeared.Edit: Nevermind found a console command to dispell all spells. (Player.DispelAllSpells when you have targetted yourself in third person) <--- for anyone else with a missing Soulbug!
Oh! It's just a personal preference but I have a mod that turns Azura's Star into a soul gem factory (Soul Gem Star Fragments at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community) that gives you a filled "fragment" when you trap souls instead of filling the Star. I was looking to make the bug do this, but with the help of other people, figured that this mod does some voodoo that swaps empty gems to filled ones. You also can't cast a soul trap spell on a corpse.
yeah, with the way it kinda is a laggy follower, it constantly gets lost all the time, never makes it into caves, etc. :'( havent seen mine for the past hour at all, though the effect still works.
Thank you for this, sagittarius22! Love both the idea and implementation. It's like a scavenger, harvesting newly departed souls before they can get to Aetherius, and the graphical effects it leaves behind on its victims is a nice touch.
I really love the look of it but is there a way to make it more like the Gamejam version where it hovers over your shoulder more like a familar? As it is now, it kind of just lags behind you and ZOOMS over to catch up. The animations are the only thing keeping me from endorsing the mod and using it 24/7.
Oooooh... this Soulbug and Spears were the two things I wanted the most from Game Jam. Thanks for making it work. Tough would be cool to see a model which is carrying a Soul Gem like in the video... so I made one
