I have created a patch for this mod that weaponizes the clutter items only once the player has picked them up. It also tweaks a few of the keywords associated with the items. Available here:
You know... I don't know if the person doing this mod has abandoned this or not... or if anyone has thought of picking it up again... but I was thinking back on when I used it before. The fact that it replaces base clutter in the game seemed to cause some problems with those items and their orientations on shelves.
Thought occurred to me... maybe instead of replacing all the clutter instantly there could be a "power" that appears in your spells menu when you're holding one of the weaponizable clutter items... like say if you pick up a ladle a selectable power called "Weaponize Ladle" would appear that you could then cast to swap out the ladle you're holding for a weaponized one?
I know that "Become a Bard" mod somehow managed to make powers for "Play Lute" and "Play Drum" and such appear in your power's list whenever you pick one up into your inv... so I figure something like that might likely be possible. Too bad I don't really know how to do mods... *sigh*
Is there any other way to contact the Author of this mod besides the Contact Function through the Forum Messaging System? I sent a message to them over ten days ago about gaining permission to use this mod's assets in my own, but I have yet to get a response, or even to see them log on to the site...
I'd really like to use that broom for a janitor NPC I'm making, and looking at the rest gives me plenty of new ideas for other NPC's too...
