No support for SMIM at the moment, sorry guys. Checked the SMIM textures and I can see me driving me nuts to adapt my textures for that. I wasn't planning to do the smelter actually, I was uninspired and just grabbed it and did it fast. SMIM uses way too much textures for my level of patience, not to mention each one has it's own individual normal map. It would mean too much work and I know I wouldn't enjoy it, and I do these things only because I have fun. And as a sidenote, and this is more personal, I try to do make my game as performance friendly as possible, and I don't use the SMIM smelter, actually just use a few must-have options, a 4K version of my texture for SMIM would mean an absurd size that would cause stuttering on some systems, not to mention, I would never use it for me. My only "support" is to tell you to go to the SMIM folder and delete the "smelter" textures and meshes (or rename just in case). Thanks!
Your wood appears to have a higher specular value than metal. Some further advice would be to look into edge wear when creating textures. Rustic surfaces generally don't just stop on a perfect line and then continue, check out the reference below:
Thanks, I tried that on the wooden part but couldnt find the right places to apply it, I forgot about it and then remembered I didnt try on the metal parts
One of the problems with the SMIM smelter, is that it uses over 42Mb just for the textures, split over 12 individual texture files, whilst Elsopa's 2K texture uses about 8Mb and 2 files. So, if you only have a 2Gb graphics card, it is worth considering switching from SMIM's smelter, because it is excessive in terms of memory usage.
You can use the SMIM meshes and the textures from this mod. If using Mod Organizer it is relatively easy to test and to combine mods. In Fallout New Vegas I used 2 different mods, taking the meshes from one and textures from the other. It worked including adding animated Televisions throughout the entire game without the benefit of a plugin. You can do the same in Skyrim, not all meshes and textures work together though so simply keep trying different variations and hopefully you will find one that works.
KainThePhoenix; The problem is that the SMIM meshes references 12 textures (see my previous post), whilst Elsopa uses 2. From my understanding, mixing meshes and textures will only work if the meshes use the same number of textures, and the orientation, positioning and offsets of the individual components within those textures, are the same. Otherwise, the result will be a mess. Looking at the SMIM textures, the components within them are in a different position and orientation than those by Elsopa.
@KainThePhoenix The textures are in very different places, to use these i'd have to mess around editing the UV (and it never looks good when I do that) plus there's extra textures I would need to add or keep from SMIM. It can work with some textures but not very well with many if they're very different.
Looks fab! I particularly like the dome. Looks like it is covered in clay and ash to hold in the heat. Makes sense.
One suggestion: Are you sure about using a wood texture on the part that rotates the spout? In the real world, the spout will be holding molten metal and will get hot (as well as the rest of the smelter). So using a wood texture around that part, looks a bit odd.

Call an exorcist! This guy is possessed with the demon, who forced him to make HD textures all the time!
Smelter looks great. The demon is a strong one
thank you for the 9999 time
pls ,if possible the grindstone
