Can you check the existence of this skull texture in dragonborn DLC, because I have just searched dragonborn.bsa using a bsa extractor, and there is no reference to the texture your mod is supposed to be replacing, i.e. "\ textures \ dlc02 \ clutter \ dlc2dunkolbjornskull.dds" literally doesn't exist in the dragonborn DLC, nor the vanilla game. Have you made a mistake and this is a texture replacer for some other mod you have specifically installed on your PC?
Other than that, great work! It is just unfortunate that no-one is likely to see it in-game, because it is replacing something that isn't in dragonborn DLC. Of course, I could have made a mistake, but if I have, I haven't discovered it yet. Please check these skull textures and let me know what you find.
Yes, you are right! I can see them now. I see my mistake. I was looking around the following path in BSA browser... "\ textures \ dlc02 \ clutter \" ...and then I looked at all the files prefixed with "dlc02*.*". In that list of files, I couldn't see dlc2dunkobjornskull*.dds. However, I didn't realize there is also another set of files underneath them, which are prefixed with "dlc2*.dds" (i.e. there is no "zero"). Skyrim's naming convention is inconsistent to say the least!
Feel free to delete my above posts, as they are no longer relevant (for some reason, Nexus forums don't allow me to delete them myself).
I agree with this and the only criticism really about your latest batch of models / textures all of which I have downloaded. In contrast is your bonehawk amulet and those skull sockets are just superb. BTW the gold work on this mod is fantastic too so it certainly not that don't appreciate your work.
Fair enough. Thnx for the response. This needs to be balanced against the visual impact in game - don't remember how much time a player spends with this particular skull or if its a collectible.
It's a special skull that guards the hidden passage in Kolbjorn Barrow. You have to move it from the pedestal in order to continue the quest Unearthed (the one with Ralis Sedarys). It is also a callback to Morrowind's Bloodmoon expansion, supposedly being the skull of Oddfrid White-Lip.
That skull? I thought it was just a blood-covered skull. Nothing special about it other than a paperweight. Battles would knock that thing off the counter top all the time, and I'd have to start the fight over again to get past that hallway.
