I love this mod, the only downfall is, I can't have this mod and "less annoying barbas" mod working at the same time. It's either get the cool skin and he won't spawn, or get him to spawn but no cool skin. anyone out there know how to fix this?
I'm pretty sure shoving your junk in a dog, no matter the intelligence, is bestiality. But since Barbas is a shapeshifter, you could always have him shapeshift into something that doesn't smell awful when wet.
Agreed. It would especially be hilarious if we could get some crazy bugger (perhaps from the Voice Actors Alliance?) to re-voice all the lines so that we could have a voiced marriage along with acted lines for all the elements post-marriage.
I know that I would be greatly amused to have a wolf shopkeeper. I can't see anyone really wanting to haggle with him. And if we redid the voice, we could have a growly-er version of Barbas, too.

Because, honestly? My first thought was 'oh, don't be so ridiculous!'
Bestiality involves non-sapient minds. What does this mean in layman's terms? It means that one partner in the coupling doesn't have a human mind. This is what's wrong with paedophilia, too. For the same reason, really. A young mind is developing, and therefore it cannot fully understand the nuances of what's going on, and thus it's unable to offer consent.
So when does bestiality occur? When you have a creature that isn't capable of offering consent. Now - dogs, horses, and whatnot of our world aren't able to offer consent, because they don't have a human mind, thus they don't THINK in the same ways we do. That's not to say that they're not intelligent, because some animals are VERY intelligent, but simply that their cognitive processes are alien to us. Because of that, we cannot comprehend consent from an animal.
Anything that happens between two living beings without consent if one party is able to understand the notion of consent is unethical, because the party able to understand consent should know better. Therefore what's happening is exploitation. It has nothing to do with the physical appearance of a creature, but simply with the fact that one isn't able to -ask- a dog or a horse if they want to get sexed up. Therefore the act is unethical, and it amounts to bestiality.
HOWEVER. *falls over.* (Why do I have to give ethics classes so often?)
However... Barbas doesn't have a feral mind. Quite to the contrary, Barbas' mind is mature, sentient, and able to understand consent and engage in consent. Therefore, any activities engaged in with Barbas, if they involve consent from both parties, are ethical. You can even have an unethical case of lacking consent between the two parties with sapient minds - that's called rape.
But if a person asks Barbas if they want to marry them, and Barbas accepts, and then sex follows on a consensual basis, then that isn't unethical, nor is it bestiality.
