Santa has visited the Vaclav's a little bit early and filled their stockings with some new toys and features. A new version 4.1 has been uploaded to help enhance your holiday cheer.

    Version 4.1 (Dec 23, 2014)
    - [New] added new Arrow and Bolt of Forceball (large explosion of pure force - very fun!).
    - [Updated] changed Arrows of Fireball, Shockball, Frostball to damage the player if you are too close!
    - [Updated] changed Arrows of Fireball, Shockball, Frostball (Delayed) to damage the player if you are too close!
    - [Updated] changed Arrows of Fiery Oil to damage the player if you are too close!
    - [Updated] changed Arrows of Poisonous Cloud to damage the player if you are too close!
    - [Updated] readjusted the price of many of the arrows and bolts to be a bit more expensive.

    Happy holidays!

Hi, I just wanted to leave a suggestion for arrows that cast some of the vanilla spells at the point they land, instead of just exploding. I think the hardest part would be the detection of non-actor strikes. Since they explode even when hitting the floor or walls, it shouldn't be much harder to make a "dummy" or "proxy" invisible, unhittable caster at the spot the arrow lands, and cast the spell ALSO on the spot it lands(so that the imbued fireball can explode wherever an arrow can hit, or you can trigger the Fire Storm master destruction spell far away from you).

Then, all you need to do is, instead of adding them to the Forge crafting list like most "arcane archery" mods, you just need to make(for each of the used vanilla spells) 3 spells based on the "Transmute Mineral Ore" spell, that instead of replacing an ore with another, replace an arrow with its sscripted version.

I have the suggestion in more detail here: "https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4821615-true-arcane-archery-imbue-arrows-anywhere/" .
If anyone wants to take it up, or have useful feedback or suggestions, please comment there.

Cool! Reminds me of my Zot Rifle mod for UT2004, love it.

Does the archery potion decrease the velocity of your arrows, like the unique bow enchantment does, or work like the perk?

hi, for what i saw until now, this mod is great.
really love the idea of the vendors from elswyr. may be to make more intersesting the plot, Vaclav could be sell the secret reciepe for enabling the crafting (if you have x speech or x smithing).
    good job, really like it.

Would you please add some screenshots of the arrows and bolts.I wonder about the magnitude of their enchantments, as well as some of the crafting recipes. Currently using Perma. Hope those arrows and bolts are not too OP compared to Perma ones.

And, great job!!!! Since Elemental Arrows, I haven't found a similar mod that also has the bolts.I guess this one's gonna be an excellent successor.

Just had a look. The power of arrows/bolts are balanced. The mod is quite well done, with simplicity(for us) in mind.

A question is, I can only craft oil bolts while I have to buy other bolt types from those merchants ?

Also, I'd like to mention that the requirements of such powerful ammo are too low.
I'd like to suggest some speechcraft check before you can buy them(pursuade, bribe, etc. The bribe price should be actually high as 3000 gold)
The price of those ammos should also be increased a bit. And the number of ingredients needed(soulgems, firesalts) as well.

On the other hand, since lots of us are using PerMa now, would you please make a little patch for PerMa? I mean, nothing fancy, just a perk check before you can craft or buy these things. (PerMa has some perks related to elemental and explosive ammos in its trees. And, your ammos are slightly more powerful than PerMa's. It feels a bit like cheating when you don't have the perk requirements.)

      PS: Merry Christmas!

Pleasepleaseplease make a leveled list version and add chances for these to More Interesting Loot, so we have an option to not rely on our dear ole Vaclav and his folks. It would be way more immersive and fun if this sorta stuff came up (and was used) by enemies too, especially with a much larger chance to spawn in Falmer chests, so that I'd actually have a reason to not hate facing the bastards every time, ever since I installed Revenge of the Enemies, heh.

Crazy Vaclav has been visited by Santa early, and is passing his explosive toys on to you! For your explosive pursuits, a brand-new major version 4.0 has been uploaded.

NOTE: this new version 4.0 and beyond now requires the Dawnguard DLC! Do not attempt to install this Mod without Dawnguard - you will crash your game!

    Version 4.0 (Dec 7, 2014)
    - [New] added new Bolts of numerous enchantments! Dawnguard DLC is now required.
    - [New] added Arrows and Bolts of Fiery Oil.
    - [New] added Arrows and Bolts of Poison Cloud.
    - [Updated] Crazy Vaclav and his family now stock limited quantities of ammo.
    - [Updated] Crazy Vaclav (Whiterun) will stock an assortment of Arrows and Bolts.
    - [Updated] Brother Vaclav (Markarth) will stock an assortment of Bolts.
    - [Updated] Sister Vaclav (Solitude) will stock an assortment of Arrows.
    - [Updated] Uncle Vaclav (Riften) is addled by too much Moon Sugar and may or may not remember to stock Arrows and/or Bolts.
    - [Updated] tweaked the gold value of many of the new ammo types.

    Enjoy!

Edit: I just realized I did not update any recipes for crafting the new Bolts. That will have to come in a later update.

For your explosive pleasure, I've uploaded a new minor version of the Mod, v3.5.

This is intended to be the final vanilla version of the Mod (ie no DLC requirements). This paves the way for an upcoming new 4.0 version that will include bolts for crossbows (and therefore require Dawnguard).

    Version 3.5 (Dec 3, 2014)
    - This version is intended to be the final Vanilla (ie no DLC requirements) version
    - A few minor tweaks on some of the effects
    - Removed various unused records (old tests and experiments)

    Enjoy!

Could you please add a Silver type arrow (for Werewolves/ghosts)? Thanks.

The biggest challenge to such an item is that I would want it to have its own custom mesh and texture. It needs to look like an actual silver arrow.

If you or anyone else have any pointers to someone who has such a thing and is willing to share, I'd be happy to make the item.

These are great, I'll be using them and assigning to various bad guy LLs.

But, really could use a simple poison arrow!
I suppose we could tweak the exploding gas cloud to have a small blast area but it is not the same thing. Also, the clouds erupt behind the target if the target is moving.

Bandits and assassins ought to use poison dipped arrows! Damage in the range of 3-5/s for 5 to 10 seconds depending on strength. Stackable. I have tried to create but it is hard. I gave up. You can assign generic damage, but I don't know how to assign poison damage, and since the PC will get hit with a lot of these, has to be right.

I may just add such an arrow to the hypothetical, possible update that may be coming at some point.

Poison as a type of damage doesn't really exist in Skyrim (kinda weird). It exists as generic damage health, but with a Poison Resist flag.

If you're experimenting within the Creation Kit, look up the Magic Effect "AlchDamageHealth". That is essentially the poison that you're looking for.
