Correct way to port this to SE or AE. Open in Wyre Bash and create dummy master. Close Wyre Bash and create mod if using MO2. Activate it and open CKSSE. Load goldpiles as masterfile and open a something after it finishes loading. Change nothing and save then close CK. Now a form 44. Open xEdit and select goldpiles as master. Allow to load and then right click goldpiles. Check for errors (takes 30 seconds) and then click clean unused masters. Your now ready to play. Tested thoroughly using this method and had no issues. This method takes only 5 minutes. No other downloads needed besides Wyre Bash which you should have already if you want a stable load order.
FWIW I tried this but got errors about the Legendary patch. I then DL'd the Legendary patch mod but then got errors about other things. So had to give up for now.
chrisemersonnc, not sure if you are still trying to add this to your load order, but if it helps - add this mod (More Goldpiles) and USSEP (Unofficial Skyrim SE Patch from SE) into Wrye Bash and change the required master mod from USLEEP (Unofficial Patch from LE) to USSEP, then save More Goldpiles in the SE Creation Kit and you should be all set. These are the steps I took and SSEEdit reports zero errors. Good luck and happy modding.
Thank you very much for this! Especially with new gold pile/coin meshes and textures being released heh.
TO ALL WHO NEED FOR SE: The only obstacle is the dependency on Unofficial Patch LE, which you can remove by several methods.
I successfully ported this to SE by: 1) downloading the esp for LE Patch (in requirements) 2) downloading the loose files for this Goldpile mod 3) open both ESPs in xEdit 4) rightclick the Goldpile ESP, and apply filter for conflicts (will take a while) 5) can ignore the green/yellow entries, delete the redhighlighted entry from Goldpile (there is only 1, I think)(if you can't find, load SE Patch USSEP in xEdit too and make sure Goldpile ESP entries match SE Patch) 6) rightclick Goldpile ESP and Clean Masters (removes master dependency on LE Patch) 7) Save, then open Goldpile ESP in CK, save to auto convert Form 43 to 44 8) DONE
No need for Wry Bash if you prefer not. Took me under 10 minutes and this process you will need to know for the future if you want to adjust/change/remove mod details easily
after playing dragons dogma and coming back to skyrim i always felt this aspect was missing from the whole treasure hunting experience, thank you so much~
After having this mod for nearly two years and always enjoying the little bit of extra gratification it presents in the form of a big ol' pile of gold at the end of yet another maze of endless ancient tunnels, I discovered a stash in a particularly amusing location just a few hours ago. I suppose it's just like a Black-Briar to lie about how much gold they really have on them, despite their iron confines.
Wonderful, simple mod that really belongs in everybody's load order. As does Chocolate. Mmm.

1. If you have a problem with CK loading multiple masters, use this:
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2786
2. Check for errors in xEdit (SSEedit) AFTER cleaning unused masters.
Thanks again, Odin!
