Nice mod, really makes using daggers viable....except it doesn't work on dragonbone daggers. I don't know if I somehow missed something in the description or what, but it works for very other dagger except the 2 dragonbone daggers I made for myself.

Rereading the description makes me think I was wrong about how this mod works. I'll check it out in TES5edit to be sure.
It would be better to adjust swing speed of daggers since modifying attack speed in Skyrim can be buggy and also lead incompatibilities with other mods that adjust attack speed. Decreasing weight would also be a nice idea since that will allow less stamina used for power attacks.

Yes, I thought a lot about this and many other things concerning the game. I can`t decide about the dagger speed. Generally, it depend from the phisical size, strenght, agility, especially from the training. A well trained large and strong man usually defeat well trained shorter and weaker man. And most of all, dagger reach made them the most difficult for open fight, since average swordsman will cut the attacker on half. Every dagger will broke if trying to block heavier weapon than rapier, every armor except leather will made the cutting almost impossible. That`s why the people in the middle ages doesn`t fought with knives.
But this is just a game and no one give a cent about any realism.

Vorador1980: Musashi just rolled over in his grave. He chose to fight with no armor, the reason was armor makes you slow to react and tire easily. Can a knife do well against something like full plate? Sure, by pulling the rope a dope, you let that sloth in armor swing away and keep moving and dodging, once he tires kill him how ever you want. The types of armor you are thinking of were more for show and ceremony than actual combat. As someone stated above you just can not fight with any sort of agility wearing 300lbs or steal.

    I loved your mod
I think it is though a bit too fast. Maybe you could lower it to something like 40% and increase dmg a bit so the dps is still important.
Maybe it's just me, but.. the dagger hits so fast, that I can barely see my arm when hitting creatures, hahah.
And I have also noticed that with this kind of high speed ( I am using the DEADLY COMBAT MOD so it's highly probable that is the cause of it ) that the enemies stagger a lot and actually it's even easier to kill them than with swords.

@Vorador1980 What. Not at all, actually knives were usefull against heavy armors. Armors are nice against armors in strenght vs strenght fights, but someone agile can easily run around and get the heavy guy tired, then just stab between armor plates, like the neck, under the arms in the artery and similar places...

    I'll try the mod.

This looks like a mod worthy of watching. I'm hoping you will remove the decrease in damage like the previous posters/users suggested.

This is a welcome mod, yet I agree with Yugrandma. Can you remove the decreased damage? This is especially relevant since "bladesman" perk does not include daggers in vanilla. Thanks.

@Vorador1980: Um, people in the middle ages did fight with knives. Alot. And clubs, staves, sticks, and rocks. Swords, axes, and metal in general were not just lying around everywhere, and most farm tools were made of wood. Metal was expensive. Lucky was the commoner who had ANY metal implement.

I like the speed of the dagger now, but now it pretty much does no damage at all on master. Can you upload a version that doesn't effect the damage?
