Thanks for the ENB, but especially thanks for the detailed instructions and suggestions you included. I've been running the same Realvision ENB for years with just a few performance tweaks and decided for a change of scenery, and your download page made the transition pretty painless (plus had some useful links to stuff I wasn't aware of, like the effects tweaks patch). ENB works great and seems only slightly more performance heavy than what I was using before, and I'm sure I can do some tweaking to settings I don't care as much about to help with that.

    Very nice work.

Thanks very much Reese for the compliment

One tweak that increases FPS could be this one in the enbseries.ini file:

      [SSAO_SSIL]
      SizeScale=0.5773502691896258
      SourceTexturesScale=0.5773502691896258

If you use for example 0.7 in both values.. you'll notice FPS increase. This slightly lowers the ambient occlusion.
      Have fun

Then you are missing some important files.
Run LOOT to see if you miss any master files (.esp's that other mod use).
Check if you installed the enb in the enbseries folder.
If it is your first enb.. check if you installed DirectX 9.
      Check the description page again.
It is not the preset.. many others are using it too.

Sure.. some weathers my look different.. but you can always tweak them a bit if you want (weather menu in in-game ENB menu). Don't use the Real Clouds mod together with NLVA, as they both change the clouds.

I haven't played Enderal. Just try it. You could copy the weather files from Rudy Enderal version over mine and see what happens.

Doesn't work crashes game on bootup. I know I put this here before but comment was gone. I reinstalled the entire game, steam, nexus, skse, the enb and your mod. Followed instructions to the letter. Crash on startup. What am I missing if anything? By the way only have 4 mods loaded now disabled ones from steam which is like 12 others that are armor or map markers and such.

OK I finaly found what the issue was after a long extensive search seems I located the problem and thought I would post this here for anyone else having a problem running an ENB on windows 10. Seems directx is the issue and you need to download https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8109 this to get your skyrim to work an enb. Hope this helps

Hey. I did everything in the guide but I always end up with flickering and a white square in the left screen. Graphics go crazy all over the screen with white stuff everywhere. The gui also doesn't work and a white dot pops up when I try to open it with shift+enter. Any tips or help?

Yup.. check the stickies above. You have probably not installed the ENB or DirectX files correctly.
Also, make sure you change the settings in the skyrimprefs.ini. Note: there may be multiple copies of it on your computer (search for it). Change all instances of the skyrimprefs.ini.
      Good Luck

I have directx installed. I have copied the files to skyrim main folder than your mod files there, changed the settings in each file and removed AA from the launcher and skyrimprefs. No clue what I'm doing wrong

      Did you install / re-install directx v9?
I did a quick google.. it could also be cause by other apps like the Origin launcher.
Also, try borderless 1 or 0 in your SkyrimPrefs.ini see if that helps.

      I installed this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
I have Nvidia geforce experience but it's turned off for skyrim. Also on win10. Origin is installed but I never have it open. I don't have any borderless settings in skyrimprefs.
EDIT: I installed a skse plugin for borderless. Still same thing happened. The gui is innexistent and the cursor turns into a white dot.

This is really weird. I usually change ENBs like changing shirts. Just copy some files and thats it.
I feel your problem and it is horrible.
For an ENB to work you require:
      - DirectX
      - directx dll (d3d9.dll) and enbhost.exe in Skyrim folder
      - enblocal.ini
      - enbseries folder

Check your enbseries settings (take mine as example and change the memory if needed).
Make sure you have installled directx 9 again, check: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/games_windows_10/directx-9-on-windows-10/7b7cec82-4a6d-4bb8-b7a5-3889aae764c1
Also, make sure you copied the d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe from the Wrapper folder.
See if you can find an "how to install skyrim enb on windows 10 video".
I know it isn't any fun now, but playing Skyrim with an ENB is definitely worth it.
      Good luck.

Ok..this is plain retarded sorry...This is the 5th day I try to install the ENB. After rotating every file and directx again and again , the ENB and the gui are working for some reason even though I did the same process again and again. Copied the files needed from enb series and from your enb, installed directx again . No clue what just happened. I closed OCguru and Geforce experience and gyazo from my start bar and it suddently works fine. I'll test out if something was actually interfering . Thanks for replies and hope I wasn't a bother! I'll post soon what was the problem

Yah I found out. Gigabyte OC Guru was causing the problem. I simply closed it from the start bar and it works fine. Someone should post a notice about this issue though

    Hello ZwabberdieBo
I've just re installed skyrim and mo2 for my mod manager, after having not played in a very long while ,  I have also just installed skse as well
So far its all running ok, So I was thinking I love how enb's make ppl's game look very nice, and have tried researching , you tubing, I love the look of rudy enb, but a lot of p[pl are having a lot of problems even following the step by step instructions, and not getting any answers..
    So decided on yours instead..
I'm also very new  to using enb's  and have not used them before ..
Firstly will this mod, or can this mob be installed ok with mo2 ?
2 with the skyrim prefs ini tweeks, there are 2, which is the one you make the tweeks to, or do you do both ?
    Thx in advance

Hi, i'm new to Caffeine enb, and i'm having this strange issue where game looks normal with enb off, and i get this strange split screen when i activate Caffeine.

    Spoiler:
    Show

I know it's not the binaries, the system or the video drivers, because i've downloaded and installed Antique Dragon by the author, and it works without issues. I also tried to google the issue, but didn't find anything similar.

Hi! I just wanted to come here to say I've been using this ENB since its release (although that was on my old account), and it's remained one of my most favoritest. At the moment, I'm using it with Vivid Weathers (all the plugins and bells and whistles), ELE, and Skyrim Relighted and it's exactly how I like it now. You, and this particular mod page, gave me the confidence to really play around with what ENB presets will handle. So many people are very protective when it comes to their vision - and that's fine, I get it - but it's really kind of terrifying when you're just out to make your own personal game look good. I dunno. I just wanted to thank you for what has proven to be a timeless preset and for being encouraging when it comes to messing about with one's own game :)

This was posted by BorisVorontsov, I was just copy and paste to here.

    TO ALL

This preset need some changes by user to be compatible with the most recent version of ENBSeries, because of multipass shader support was added. Here is how to do it:
Snapdragon Prime ENB V5\Install\enbseries\enbeffect.fx - open this file with any text editor.
Find text PASSNAME in the string technique PASSNAME <string UIName= "Snapdragon" ;>
Rename PASSNAME to anything you want, like technique SOMEPASS <string UIName= "Snapdragon" ;>
Save file, copy preset to game folder.

Very interesting edit for enbeffect.fx. I'm try to edit and got results. I rename PASSNAME to SOMEPASSPASSNAME2 to SOMEPASS2 and etc. Originally I didn' saw difference between Snapdragon, All-is-vain, Creamy presets, but after edit difference is appear, but too dark picture with presets All-is-vain and Creamy

    Hello.

I love this ENB but i have a little problem with "Path of the Anti-mage" (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76918) it have an ability to see wen the enemies have to much magicka and to find enchanted weapons and armor. Usually wen i use that ability the eyes of my character turn purple and with some textures of that mod, and i love it, but with this ENB the purple eyes turn white and with no texture. I know is not important and don´t change anything in the game play. But i really like how it looks, i´m using a succubus race and the haki armor of one piece, and the combination of the succubus the haki and the purple eye make look my character very awesome.

So please help me find a way to make the eyes of the "path of the anti-mage" look as always do.

I have to say, after years this enb is still looked fascinating and fabulous with new enb cores. And it still get your eyes addictive.
ZwabberdieBo is a very good artist.
I want to make an extention for this enb few times, but I was always afried my skill and determination are not enough to make a mod as good as this.

Hey there, just wanted to say, great work on your ENB. The mod was recommended to me by a friend and I've been enjoying the faux-cell shaded effect she told me how to get with some elements from the tetrachromatic enb. I really appreciate the install tutorial you posted as well, super user friendly.
However, I've run into a bizarre issue as of late.
I've been enjoying modded skyrim on my new pc system with minimal hiccups for about a full month (admittedly after a lengthy period of sorting everything out initially), and when I went to start a new character with a few new mods, I ran into some problems.
What started out as attempting to troubleshoot textures not appearing, turned into mod prerequisites not being met (despite very much being installed), to to me disabling my NiOverride file to see if it was causing issues for a mod that required it or racemenu (which comes packaged with NiO) to function properly.
And when I go to deploy modes/update fnis/check wyrebash, etc. I see fnis telling me to run the game from steam for some reason.
I do so, only to later find that my enb is no longer running and the game looks terrible.
So I try to do a simple re-install, no luck. I check my prefs.ini file? Every time I edit it to the enb specifications, fnis sends a warning, telling me to run the game from steam, which resets everything.
I've no doubt that I've done something wrong, but I'm really not sure what, and I've no clue on how to fix it. Does anyone know what might need doing? I'm really at a loss here.
