This overhaul is really interesting, i love the spell and the npc system but there are a looot of issues, vampire lord is useless with this overhaul, vampires that u can create with the spell arent using any vampiric ability, u cant complete the volkihar radiant quest called "New Allegiances" and corpse feeding is glitched. This mod has the potential to be the best overhaul imo, so i hope that all these issues will get solved
I am interested in the concepts behind this mod, but I feel like its going to need more polish. So I will track this and await patiently for it cook more in the oven.
sadly i don't work on this mod that often now, so waiting is a bad idea cuz i won't add anything in a near while. however, the mod is fairly stable, i keep on testing it on my gameplays and the only bug i found was the usuall grey face vampire bug. also, latest updates make the gameplay even more bug-free.
thanks for the reply. Im a heavy user of Better Vampires, and im just wondering if this mod is capable of working alongside it?? or would it cause an incompatibility headache??
I really like the vampire spell effects in this mod, but I need the customizability of Better Vampires, as I have various other mods integrated and patched in with it.
i got a glitch when i wasnt getting any perk points from drinking blood so to test i drank 100 blood potions and still got no perk points, and i dont have all the perks yet.
No healing spells is a terrible design choice and makes no sense in a game that has necromantic healing. If you are going to give that penalty then just reduce the effectiveness of healing spell by percentage instead. Potions are also just bottled spells so it make no sense that healing spells don't work on the vampire but potions do. The sun damage is also a terrible game design considering that so many quest require to be outside during daytime and deal with long dialogues. Maybe you should make the sun damage only a thing for starved vampires like oblivion? Other than that, great mod.
thats why sun damage is only 1 point per 5 seconds when you are sated, and this damage doesn't apply when you stand in the shade, quests that require being outside are perfectly playable with so little damage. Potions giving no health was a thing at first, but after a test-playthrough i realized it was waaay to hard to play, i know that potions are just bottled heal, but really, even blood magic doesn't compensate for this so i decided that potions whould stay for the sake of game balance And thanks btw, i think im gonna stop updating this mod for a while tho, except maybe small fixes or 2 new blood magic spells soon, im currently making another test-playthrough to see what requires balance.
nevermind i just made finished this small update and added 3 new perks one of them "Masquarade" protects you from sun damage when fully fed and allows you to reveal your vampirism
you picked a VERY good moment i just added a small update with new perk this perk protects you from sun and allows you to reveal your vampirism near people
You DO know that vampires don't actually exit right? Feeding on dead bodies doesn't make sense in stories where it's dangerous...wouldn't mean crap in the thousands where it isn't.
vampires in the court of Lord Harkon are seen eating human meat, the vampire lady from malkhart cannibal quest (idk the name) eats human flesh too so im just quesing the skyrim strain of vampirism allows them to feed on dead meat
It gives Serana brown face bug when I have her with multiple fixes and Seranaholic, can you make it not affect other vampires? Like Velerica which I also modded to be pretty.
Reading the description made me interested, could you make togglable in MCM ability to slow time when enemy power attacks you? I know it's useful but it breaks the combat flow for me and I don't need to block really.
