I've noticed that the spells in this mod do not contain a certain keyword that makes the game engine treats them as summons.

My evidence comes from testing this with Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim, where there's a perk called Edge of Oblivion, that allows you to summon 1 additional minion, but it lowers your armor and magic resist should you not have a minion summoned/reanimated.

The spells of this mod do not prevent the negative buff, meaning the game engine is not treating them as summons.
    Just thought i'd mention this.

The Conjure Dragon Priest spell is affected by Twin Souls, but the Conjure Gargoyle spell is not.

After further testing, I also discovered that the Amulet of the Gargoyle also does not affect the Conjure Gargoyle spell you learn from this mod.

    Weird, any ideas?

      1. The Twin Souls Perk has the following condition:
The spell must contains one of the following keywords:
      MagicSummonFamiliar
      MagicSummonFire
      MagicSummonFrost
      MagicSummonShock
      MagicSummonUndead

Conjure Dragon Priest has MagicSummonShock keyword while Conjure Gargoyle does not. That is why.
I will remove the MagicSummonShock keyword so that only 1 Dragon Priest may be present at a time.

      2. Bethesda used scripts to determine whether a player has the Amulet equipped at the moment the spell is cast. The spell added in this mod does not include this script at the start, that was why the Amulet didn't affect the spell. Added the script for the magic effect. Took me an hour to figure out how to write the script properly.

I appreciate the update! I do not intend to sound nitpicky but I did like that Conjure Dragon Priest was affected by twin souls did not intend to say that was bad.

Still, I also appreciate the details you gone into explaining how and why the mod did what it did prior to this update, thank you sir

For my thrall version I just change the spells summon time limit to as high as it can go in hours then manually change the cost to what I want rather that auto, not a proper thrall version but given that dragon priests disintegrate it seems to be the only way I can do it.

Making a Thrall spell is easy. The tricky part is to add condition for the spell tome, making it only available after the Conjuration Ritual Spell mission. I failed to do so, because I couldn't add the property to the spell tome. I decided to abandon the idea to add a thrall version since.

I might make a staff version for this though. I included the ability to make a staff in the v2 version.
