This is a nice little mage tower north of Whiterun. Inside, there is nothing OP, although *SPOILER* there is a copy of the book Shalidor's Insights, which is a quest item for the radiant quest of the same name (there are more than one of these books, but they do give you access to a few new scrolls when you complete the quests). These books are also supposed to be extremely rare, which is why the librarian at the college of Winterhold has spent so much time tracking down the resting places of these tomes. I also seem to remember a couple of other rare items floating around in the upstairs room.
Another thing I noticed, is that the key to the tower is showing up in every safe storage empty chest in my game. I bought Breezehome, and in the usually empty chest downstairs there was a key to the tower. I was even in a mod that placed a player home on an island in the sea of ghosts, there was a key to the tower in every empty chest in the home. I think I have a half dozen keys to the tower, and I never even went on the hunt to find the key in the first place.
Don't get me wrong. I appreciate what this mod is going for. A nice little player home that isn't OPed to crap and doesn't just hand you the key without any effort on the player's part. It just needs a little touch up here and there, in my opinion.
Hey just thought I'd share, in your third picture you have a lighting bug, but by rotating the light in the CK, you can get rid of the line in the middle of your shadow.
This is a great little tower! Nothing super-special, but it feels lived in and nice. Very much a pure wizard tower and it has nothing for those of you who like to set metal on fire and bend it with hammers.
Hey guys, I am the author of The Art of Magicka. dj20 gave me permission to incorporate the mage tower into AOM. I will be adding a lot of really fun content to the tower. It will include all of the crafting stations. I will also include a separate version that doesn't require AOM. I expect it to be ready in about 3-4 weeks.
Aww, I'm sad to hear that you wouldn't be working on this mod longer, dj20.
With your permission, I'd like to continue working on this mod, updating it first with these smelter+skinning functionalities. There's also a light object/source issue that needs to be rectified. I sent you a message about it. And after May 15th, I'm looking at creating an alternative look for this mage tower, if you'll allow.
If you do not, I'm still planning on creating a similar mage tower player home, inspired and credited with your work. However I'll be adding custom exterior and interior models. Basically, I'll be working on a Telvanni Magister tower as my mage home, complete with that alien, mushroomy Dunmer architecture look
Nvmd, it's only for spouses. So it's not a problem with your mod.
Couple of suggestions. Please add a skinning and smelter stations. If there are already around the Tower, then my bad. However, I wasn't able to find them in the basement, first level, or second level.
