We recently had a user post about a path issue that people will need to correct if the mod is not updated. I haven't verified this myself, but it is probably an issue: https://stepmodifications.org/forum/topic/1116-skyrim-redesigned-by-dracomies/?do=findComment&comment=249613

I can confirm that the path is incorrect. The current STEP guide also makes no mention of this.

The Step guide uses the FOMOD, and these files don't apply.

I found the same incorrect texture path in the FOMOD version.

the nexus link on the downloaded mod on mod organizer sends you to this mod:
Traduction FR Forgotten Wenches at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)

they have the same 4 digit ending but the wenches are on the SE game and skyrim redesigned should be linked to LE

You need to change the game to Skyrim (from SSE). Right now MO thinks it's an SSE mod.

I tested this mod as is with Skyrim Special Edition. I tested every part of the mod in-game. The only issues noticed as of yet are with the skeever tail. It looks wrong but nothing game breaking. And the anvil is of higher resolution and better looking in vanilla Skyrim Special Edition than with this mod. Some parts of nordic clutter is slightly more detailed without the mod.

Screenshots comparing vanilla to Skyrim Redesigned in Skyrim Special Edition:

Save files for the images. Will likely work in original Skyrim too.

Anyone is free to use the images and save files however they wish without permission.

PM me if a link is broken.

Also, Barenziah's crown jewel textures are not apparent in the installer when choosing custom installation. It is possibly included in one of the options, and it is installed when choosing to install everything.

Dracomies graciously uploaded the FOMOD version for everyone to use. There is no longer a need to follow aragonit's instructions and the FOMOD is no longer available from STEP.

The new FOMOD is better designed. It has a BAIN folder structure for WB users so you users will have an easier time installing the mod (no wizard, sorry. I'm too rusty with those.). The FOMOD can be installed in three ways:
    1) Individual textures can be installed so users can pick and choose what they want.
    2) Users following the STEP Guide have an option that will install the recommended textures from that Guide.
    3) The option to install all textures from the mod.

To make the FOMOD installation easier for those who are too lazy to read through TechAngel85's post:

    Download the mod file.
    Download Skyrim_Redesigned_Fomod.7z from here: http://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Redesigned

Open both files with WinRar (or 7zip or whatever you use for archives)

Drag and drop the fomod FOLDER into the 'Skyrim Redesigned' FOLDER in the original mod archive.

    2gwgvv7.png

close the archives, install with MO as usual. You can delete the Skyrim_Redesigned_Fomod.7z file, as the mod archive has been altered to allow for easy installation.

Enjoy! And Thanks to Dracomies for his hard work.

Edit: Figured it out. Had to do it a different way. Extracted the fomod and skyrim redesigned archives. Then moved the extracted fomod folder to the extracted skyrim redesigned folder. Then added to archive. Worked like a charm.

    Hello there!

I'm a member of the STEP team and we use your mod, Skyrim Redesigned, in our Guide. I realise that you created your mod to be modular; however, the way it stands it's a bit of a hassle to install using Mod Managers such as Mod Organizer. I have both a solution and a question.

First the solution. I've created a fomod for Skyrim Redesigned that will allow a few very quick and easy installation methods. First, it allows users to install the entire mod in two clicks. Second it allows users that are using the STEP Guide to install our recommended options in two clicks as well. Finally, I've set the fomod up to be able to install your mod in the way you envisioned it; completely custom and modular with an install option that allows users to pick and choose which retextures they wish to install. The fomod makes installing your mod quick and easy! I used your original pictures and comments throughout the custom installation method as well.

I'm contact you to see if you'd like to include the fomod in your mod. If so, please contact me either here or on the STEP Forums and I will provide you with the fomod and how to include it within your mod. It's really quite simple. I don't seek it, but you can give me credit on your page if you desire for the fomod.

I'm also contacting you about the mod itself. After disecting Skyrim Redesigned during the fomod creation, I noticed several incomplete works which appear as if you intended to finish them but never did. Like the furniture and eyes for example. I am curious if you'd give me permission to continue on your work and also possibly expand your mod. There hasn't been any new or continued work in over a year so I'd like the opportunity to do so with your permission if you do not plan to continue work on this mod. Of course all original credit for the work you've done will be given to you and will remain with you.

Thank you and look forward to hearing from you!

    TechAngel

The mod is based on customization and I'd like people to remove and add whatever they wish. Granted, I haven't been as diligent with redesigning Skyrim as I'd like. Most of this is attributed to three reasons.

      1. A severe lack in time due to real life taking its course.

      2. A very strong modding community in Skyrim so it's hard to tell what hasn't been fixed already. I may be wrong here but I think just about everything is fixed in other mods.

      3. Skyrim is one of those games which was very innovative and fascinating at its inception but I never got around to finishing the game. I think much of this is attributed to its lack of narrative and its strength (a sandbox game) also became its weakness because the game lost focus. I'll get around to updating this mod eventually.

Okay, fair enough. However, I'd like to note that the FOMOD still allows this customizations you seek. I'm currently providing it here ( http://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Redesigned ) for our members if you'd like to try it out and see what I'm talking about. The FOMOD was designed with Mod Organizer in mind as it's the mod manager that has come out on top as well as the official mod manager for STEP (we also host MO's support forums). This FOMOD simply provides an improved and easier way of installing your mod for Mod Organizer users. Simply choose "Custom Installation" in the installer and users can pick and choose to install whatever they wish.

The FOMOD is freely given if you desire to repack your mod to include it.

      Take care!
      Tech

Dracomies, I hope you can take this as a friendly suggestion as I am nobody and not involved in this in any manner. I hope you would consider re-uploading your file with the FOMOD included. I can clearly see by the quality of your work that you put your passion into this project, which is why so many of us still use it to this day. Given that fact, it would make this so much easier for many of us players to use if you just included the FOMOD, or at least put a link to it on your page.

I honestly believe the STEP team would be willing to send you a copy of your mod with the FOMOD included in the proper place to save you the time of doing it yourself, then you could just upload the FOMOD version to your files section. It would probably take all of 5 minutes. Please take this into consideration because I know, for me, your textures are a must have in my modlist.

I don't think Dracomies really understood what the FOMOD was when I posted this over a year ago. I'd still be able to provide the FOMOD. In fact, this mod has been stagnate for some time now, even though Dracomies told me he intended to continue on his work.

I'd like to make another offer. Recently STEP has been granted full permissions to several mods on Nexus by well known authors (at least in the STEP community). We help to maintain these mods when the authors can't. We do things like forward Unofficial Patch records, create user friendly FOMODs or improve upon the ones already in place, and even continue upon the author's work in some cases. Just to name a few we currently help manage:

      The Ruffled Feather by SparrowPrince
Weapon & Armor Fixes Remade by Kryptopyr
Clothing & Clutter Fixes by Kryptopyr
      Soul Gems Differ by Utopolyst
Even Better Quest Objectives by WilliamImm

We have very good working relationships with these authors and others. If you'd be willing to let STEP help you out, Dracomies, we could help revive this mod and continue your work in the style you have set up. Nothing would be done without your approval first. All you would need to do is give EssArrBee, DoubleYou, and myself admin permissions to your mod here on Nexus.

If that sounds like too much, then at least consider the FOMOD as DerekUGA has suggested.
      Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm getting this message when I've followed the instructions for the fomod, as listed on S.T.E.P. Wiki.
"Installation as fomod failed: ModuleConfig.xml missing"
Is this on my end or is there something wrong with the fomod?

It's really important to follow the instructions exactly. I had no issue at all.

I can not explain it any simpler than TechAngel has already.
I think the problem you may be having is misreading the instructions. When it mentions the folders to put things in, make sure you are paying close attention, especially when it says move the fomod folder. Not the folder you extracted everything to in step 1, the folder that is literally called fomod. Then when you rearchive it, make sure you rearchive the Skyrim Redesigned folder, the one that contains the 34 folders (including fomod).

Again, follow the instructions EXACTLY, word for word, to the LETTER! Then you will not have any problems.

The STEP staff have offered to give him the FOMOD so that he can provide it right inside the mod, then there will be no problems, but he is not happy to do that.

Every time I install this, it corrupts my alchemy tables and money bags.

Yeah I have the same problem, but only on low and medium texture quality, if you set it on high from Skyrim options the money bags and alchemy tables will be good.

Edit: I also replied to your thread on STEP forums.
