It would be amazing to see an addon to this mod where if you store a soul in a child's doll, you can then use that soul to resurrect a corpse that's permanent. similar to the functions of dead thrall, but you could access the inventory and change the equipment (armor, weapons, scrolls, staves, clothes, etc). And if you leave the doll in container, the thrall stays near the container. Would be an epic addition to this for those who wish to play voodoo masters.

I always thought that the "Using Souls to Power your Enchanted Items" part of these games was always kinda messed up!

It's Necromancy it's part of the lore yeah it's evil but's it's fun as hell. Do these skulls do anything? Like will it be named if I use soul trap?

Yeah! But the problem with that is that it isn't even frowned upon, especially in Skyrim where Black Soul Gems can be found in relative abundance! In Oblivion the morality of this was a bit more fleshed out where the existence of the Black Soul Gem was portrayed as a novelty or at least an anomaly, it was a unique item too (as far as I remember at least it's been years)! Honestly it would have been nice to have an option where you could enchant and recharge items using your own mana, the more mana the more charges the item has. Hell maybe there already is a mod like that, might go take a look!

It's only evil to use Human/Humanoid Souls , anything else is fine just like eating meat.

When souls are used to recharge or enchant weapons, they pour their energy and get sent back to their beginning, a type of reincarnation as to replenish their energy, experiences or knowledge, evolution cycles, white souls are almost instantly reincarnated when drained.

Black Souls however, it's the same process, but after they pour their soul energy in order to enchant or recharge objects, they are not sent to the beginning, I theorize that whoever daedric entity owns that fresh soul or the soul when drained get sent to the soul cairn and dwells aimlessly there feeding the Ideal Masters or its deadric overlord, it is very evil indeed, basically slavery the way I see it, but I believe once the Ideal Masters feed upon these black souls they are turned into White Souls and sent/flushed back to Nirn, otherwise the Soul Cairn would be immensely crowded, or more messed up they could become bonemen serving until "released"

The only exception I theorize would be The Black Star, azura's star corrupted version as I believe it has its own "dimensional plane" to store a Black Soul and the soul instead of going to the Ideal Masters it gets a normal reincarnation like a normal death. So... guilt free?

This mod however I think you are making pacts with the Ideal masters in order to imbue/enchant these *vessels* as offerings, or maybe makeshift black starts?

      EDIT:

It could also be that the souls are sent and stay in the Soul Cairn until used as to reanimate permanent undead, create artifacts or enchanted objects and are then released. Who truly knows?

You know what, threads or rather dialogues like these make me realize how much I love reading and typing comments on this site! It's just impressive how much some people know about the lore.
In the game itself a lot of this stuff might come across as a bit convoluted, and to be fair in some cases a lot of key components of the story are badly explained, also the games like to wrap themselves in a little too much mystery. Especially Oblivion, I mean come on explain some sh** already game, I mean some of the crap Oblivion pulls with its side-stories especially is just overly vague for no particular reason! Honestly now that I think about it, the reason that they pull a lot of that stuff like this might be to sell DLCs, I mean can you honestly say that you'd anything about the Ayleids without having bought the DLC! Or hell you wouldn't about the Soulcarin without having bought Dawnguard! Not really complaining here but, I think stuff like this needs to be pointed out at least. I'm afraid it might get worse down the road.....like think about it, Horse Armor ain't got sh** on micro transactions.

This is a good idea, but the vessels do not seem to be functional. At least they did not fill a soul in the Soul Cairn for me. I believe you will have create a filled version of each vessel, and edit some properties/form lists/scripts for it to be fully functional.

Oh this definitely looks interesting, especially for necromancers and the like. Any future plans on expanding the objects to include non-black soul gems? I could see more nature-based characters using things like tusks and bones over stuff as fancy and "wizardly" as soul gems.
