I always wondered why Greedesda made it +10 to barter instead of +10 to two-handed in keeping with the Ebony Blade being a two-handed weapon. I mean, it just made no sense to me. The blessing granted by a Daedra that gave you a two-handed weapon should logically boost the damage on that same two-handed weapon.
Mephala is the Daedric Prince(ss) of lies, sex, murder, secrets, and plots : (s)he's all about seducing and manipulating so +10% to barter makes more sense than some "artefact" related +10% 2-handed blessing.
Although I have to admit, some +10% speechcraft (but there's already Dibella) or +10% sneaking (but there's already Nocturnal) would have been way more appropriate, a two handed boost is just miles away from his/her spheres of influence (lore-wise).
Personally I'd have made it a blessing that boosts sneak attack damage (similar to the Sneaking perks). Mephala DOES endorse bloody murder after all...

Plus the +10 barter was already a blessing given by Zenithar.
