BAG OF HOLDING v1.1
by pkmcgowan (Patrick K McGowan), 02/09/2012

What it is:

This is my first Skyrim mod and it's based on the TES4:Oblivion mod of the same name by Quazzy that he uploaded to TESNexus.com of 5/9/06. The bag is located in Helgen Keep which means you'll have to start a new game or use the console to add one to your inventory (Form ID = 02000D62). Follow Ralof or Hadvar to the storeroom and climb up the ladder to the loft with the baskets and the barrel. It looks like a knapsack but can be carried. The Bag of Holding is an absolute must have item when exploring any dungeon, especially Dwarven ruins as you can now carry all the loot you can grab.

[Update: I now believe it's possible for players who are well into a game to return to Helgen Keep and retrieve the bag from the storeroom. You will need the Helgen Keep key (there should be one in the warden's chest if Ralof didn't gat it the first time around). You'll also have to deal with bandits but that should only be a minor nuisance at this point.]

Installation:

Simply extract the ESP plugin into your Skyrim directory (usually \steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\) then start the game and select the DATA FILES option and make sure 'Bag Of Holding.esp' is checked. Next select play and either start a new game or use the console command player.additem 02000D62 1.

Using the Bag Of Holding:

1) Open the inventory menu and flag the Bag Of Holding as a favorite item.

2) Open the Quick Menu and assign a quick key to the Bag Of Holding.

3) Exit the Quick Menu and tap you newly assigned Quick Key to open up the bag's inventory.

Enjoy dumping your valuable, but heavy loot into your new portable container!

If you need to uninstall it then just delete the ESP file from your Skyrim directory.

Special note:
Due to the limitations of the game's creation engine, I had to define the Bag of Holding as a 2-handed weapon. Because of this, using this item in a combat situation is a very BAD idea.

Changelog:

v1.1 fixes a bug where the bag item would not unequip itself after the player equips it. This Papyrus fix corrects this in a way that the bag now does this after a 0.1 second wait (even in menu mode).
