I want to implement this very functionality in my new mod Total Equipment Overhaul. You can read about it here (very, very outdated) https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/7rcouv/wip_fake_medium_armors_progress/
Now, I plan to make my mod compatible with Heavy Armory.
I wonder if you have any ideas about the weapon reaches for specific weapon types from Heavy Armory mod.
If you gave me list of reaches for HA same as you did for vanilla Skyrim, I would really appreciate this.
Have there been any discoveries as to: 1. Can you hit Falmer? 2. Does the AI move to the wrong distance because they expect vanilla values? 3. Does your method of modification affect enchanted or not? (I actually don't care so much about this one.)
I don't want to start using it if we don't know it's viable yet. But it looks SUPER cool.
I can. the AI issue shown by other mods was the way they implemented the tweaks. They changed race settings and game settings. Yes, ALL weapons in the legendary game have been adjusted.
The way I have made the changes here is simply by telling the game (Via the weapon entry) the weapon is a bit shorter or longer. daggers, bows and crossbows have a reach of 5 with this mod and personally I would make them a bit shorter but I think that would effect game-play by npc's
The only 3 things I have at a realistic super short range are highly unlikely to ever be used by a npc. (fork, eating knife and shiv)
