After looking into it I really kind of wish we could speak up for these kids. Things like giving Kalta a talking to about her neglect towards Blaise.
Or having a talk with anyone in Whiterun with some sort of power- I don't pretend to know what might be Lucia's mother's will but her aunt & uncle are *definitely* have be violating it.
This is the absolute bear minimum, they naturally deserve so much more. So many of the kids in Skyrim do, but we can only have two. Six with mods. Even if we could have more, at some point you're running an orphanage not being a parent. And I feel there's room for both, but adoption should not be taking the place of a social safety net. So I love mods that give these kids more hope, more options, better conditions, etc.
Things like a mod that lets Sissle's tutor take on her and her sister (and preferably jails Lemkil)- which does not exist. Or help Aventus. There are several of those. one even fixes his home, gives him a guardian & gives the option to invite Sophie.
I just want everyone to be safe & the minimum of named characters dead. But especially the kids.

For f*** sake not a single frigging play-threw without adopting children, do you realize how strange that is for someone like me who distances themselves from children like they might as well be trying to suck people's blood!

Too much praise to squeeze into a comment, so I'll keep it short and sweet. This is one of the small, yet impactful immersion mods out there. This needs more publicity (hopefully MXR), although I'm on hiatus and can't download to endorse, have all my endorsements!
Maybe it's the fact that it's a simple mod for kids that tugs at our heartstrings, maybe it's the heartfelt description page - or maybe we are just human after all. Whichever way is right, I thank you for this wonderful creation. You've made my day, good sir.
Always good to see folks watching out for the little ones. It would be neat if they could actually "collect their things" when they say they will, after being adopted, so that their stuff doesn't stay there.
You can always send them to Dragons Keep after you find them, if you can't adopt them yet, or have used all your adoption slots.
I love the adoptable kids in Skyrim, they're always so nice. That could be doable, maybe make the items player-owned or sth so that they can be picked up and dropped off in a chest.

Lucia's spot to the left of the gate (inside whiterun facing gate)...i've used a buncha mods that actually affect that little nook. using the popular Whiterun Mansion now and it places an invisible magic portal in that nook. but i've never used a mod that affects the nook to the RIGHT of the gate. ya think we could get a version w/ Lucia on that side, opposite yours? she'd be eternally grateful, as i have a town mod now that places an outhouse literally inches from where she sleeps now lol.

I hope Vaelsmod is able to publish an SSE version at some point; I'd love to have this mod in my game, if possible.
