Thank you all for the nice comments so far and I hope that you will enjoy the springs.
I removed the spoiler button, not sure why it did not work, anyway even with the locations revealed I think you can still have fun looking for them, some are harder to find than others; they are supposed to be a pleasant surprise in the wilderness. Please report any bugs or conflicts and I will see what I can do about it. I will probably tweak some springs in future updates and suggestions are welcome.
I have added 3 more Hot springs in version 1.2 for a total of 11 springs throughout Skyrim. See description for new locations. Happy bathing and please endorse if you enjoy this mod :)
Hi everyone, I am super excited to share with you that I finally got the Hot springs to give heat for Frostfall users! Thats right, just as pasta sauce, reheated is better.... Please read the description page, thanks. Whats new in 1.3? There are now a total of 12 hot springs strewn across Skyrim, each a little unique and 11 of those are now also healing springs! If you sit on a bench inside the spring you will receive one of the divines blessings and cure all disease. The other new feature which is only of true use to Frostfall users, is that the vanilla hot springs in Eastmarch now give heat! At least several of them around the valley. Look for rock cairns that sit near a pool, (some with some without a banner) Springs marked by a cairn will have at least one or several of the billowing springs in a pool give off heat now. Some pools are also a bit deeper now to allow full immersion. I have tested the springs and confirmed that they work with Frostfall but some have a greater radius than others, I welcome feedback on what could be improved. I hope you will enjoy the added locations and the great benefit of these springs in a survival mode setting.
If you are using Cutting Room Floor there is some Landscape difference where it adds a Blacksmith. That can easily be fixed in TES5Edit by simply copying the Landscape data from Cutting Room Floor into this mod.
You have a great set of mods for the compulsive Skyrim bather! Do you have plans to add an autostrip feature to any of your springs/bath mods in the future?
Probably not, I am trying to keep this script free and I had looked into it for my Friendlier Taverns bathing rooms but decided against it. I may look at it again for a future update. Meanwhile I recommend using "Lets get Naked" for your followers.
Ah, that's too bad. Lets Get Naked doesn't work on multi-follower set-ups but I've seen the auto-strip feature in a lot of housing mods before without much trouble.
In principal I have no issue with the idea of an undress script and I may still do it for my tavern baths, but the problem I encountered in the past is with the dressing back up for NPCs or followers after they leave the area; my concern is for random NPC's that path by the springs going naked and then continue on without close. It could actually be a big immersion breaker rather than help with it, though I admit a funny one. So I rather opt for the manual way of doing things, even though as you say "lets get naked" does only work well for single followers or one out of a group.
Not compatible with the latest version of Frostfall unfortunately. Tried to take a dip near the Nightgate Inn and froze to death :/ quite unfortunate, because this is would be a perfect way to warm up after a harrowing journey through the cold.
Sorry to hear that, I have not kept up with Frostfall but sounds like Chesko may have changed how heat sources work. I used his heat source method to give the springs heat for Frostfall users. One thing you could try is make sure my mod loads after Frostfall to override it. I will look into if anything can be done if the heat method was changed by Chesko.
Awesome mod! I've only found one issue - there's a slight interference with Cutting Room Floor: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/47327/?
CRF adds a town (Heljarchen) around the Nightgate Inn, and this conflicts with Hotsprings in one place near the inn. Is it possible to get a CRF compatible version?
Hi thank you for the compliment I did not really change the shape of the pond by the Nightgate Inn and the hot springs are in the pond on the edge. You can make out the location in one of the screenshots and figure out if that village interferes. My guess is it should be compatible unless they put a pier in the pond right where the spring is. Good luck, and am about to post a small update.
Oh you released an SSE option! Cool, my summer will be busy lol. I checked (only in map, can't play atm because work) and I think they won't interfere. Once I'm able to check around I'll get back to you but it won't be soon. Your mods always add lots of life to the game, so no need to thank ME, I need to thank YOU!
