This is the official version of Curse of the Vampire II mod for the Skyrim Legendary Edition.

As mentioned in the mods description, "Simply Knock" by chesko is very highly recommended to use alongside Curse of the Vampire II, it is not a necessity but will help you greatly and add a lot of immersion to your experience as a vampire.

You can find the mod here:

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73236

Also read the description (all of it) before posting, If I have reason to suspect through your words that you posted before reading the description it is likely that I will ban you as I do not and will not tolerate those who do not follow a simple rule or ask questions which have already been answered.

How to enable or disable features in COTV II....

    1. Open the console and type Help "COTV_Setting"
    2. Scroll up to Global Variables to find a large list of things that you can turn on or off
    3. Type Set "Insert Name of Global Variable Here" to 0 or 1, 0 indicates Disabled while 1 indicates Enabled

First of all the update will be ported here very soon, its just I am having someone else do it as I do not have the old creation kit installed

Secondly it seems there are a lot of people asking about things like "why does trespassing harm me" or why can I not consume potions and what, well first of all in the version 1.1 and above those features are toggable and secondly if you even have to ask that question then I regret to inform you that you don't know much about "proper" vampires, your probably more familiar with this so called modern interpretation of vampire, these so called modern vampires are incapable of dissolving into a fine mist or taking on the form of a bat or wolf (yeah the whole modern ideology of a "hybrid" would of been redundant in classical vampire fiction as transforming into a wolf was a common vampiric power alas it is one I cannot effectively duplicate in this here mod) also much of this modern variety are as much vampires as a mosquito or a leech is a vampire, they drink blood as well does that make them vampires? the answer is no and neither are these so called modern ones who many of which aren't even undead anymore, the creature is supernatural and doesn't need a biologically explanation, trying to pawn one off on a Vampire is as crazy as trying to pawn off a biological answer as to how a Ghost functions, a vampire is and has always been a shapeshifter and if you can't at least do that then your not a vampire.

Having to be invited into a residence is a very old vampire trope, the vampire would be incapable of passing into a private residence without succumbing to harm as a persons home was considered sacred, it would eject a type of barrier in which a vampire could not safely pass through or at all, if a resident invited a vampire in then the vampire would become welcome and beable to pass through the door.

The next version which actually exists on the SSE as of now would also add a toggable ability which would prevent you from being able to submerge yourself in deep water without some very serious risks, this would be my take on the other less common vampire trope in that a vampire would be physically incapable of crossing the water at high tide.

No MCM is a complete deal breaker on this otherwise stellar mod, shame too because I was planning on replacing Sacrosanct in my load order with this.

Needing to use the console to toggle off unwanted features is a massive pain, especially when such changes sometimes need to be reapplied, if there was at very least a config file I could use to set these variables permanently I could forgive the lack of MCM.

Can I still use the Restoration ST with this mod? (I mean, wards and other things)
Made this question cuz Restoration ST is something like "Divine Magic", something like godbless skills and this stuff

I've got a nuts&bolts question about this mod. Somewhere along the line I lost both my VampireSomethingOrOther.pex scripts. Far as I can tell, these scripts provide the mechanics for feeding, gaining vamp perk points, using vamp powers in human form, ect. Without them, vamprisim is rendered toothless. Sacrosanct, Belula Sanguinaris, ect grind to a halt.

I'm currently using Vampric Thirst, which utilizes it's own mechanics for these things, thus oblivating the need for thoes .pex files. My question is, does COTV require these scripts?

Been using better vampires for the past couple years, just found this, it coupled with true death is perhaps the ultimate vampire experience in skyrim. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23890 True death allows you to set npc vampire death effect to either ash pile or gore puddle & makes vamps regenerate to full health instantly unless hit with sun magic or silver first to disable this wolverine-like regeneration...but at 0 health most do not die, if the kneeling bleed out state is achieved you still must equip a wooden stake in right hand & "E" them to death...splat!! It seems guards have the ability to stake/destroy vampires in bleed out mode as well, and player vampires do not get the super regeneration, only npcs. Playing as a vampire with Curse of the Vampire 2 (TM) and True Death together alongside Simple Knock (to get npcs to open door for a charm attempt) will mean a more classic/authentic vampire experience...speechcraft skill buffs now determine if you get healed tonight lol.

There is a mod called Heartbreaker that is about killmoves, from experience i know that it's option to allow ripping hearts from victims as a finisher can be used in place of having a stake for true death...so your vampire can rip the hearts from other vampires..awesome. Since CotV2 (this mod) edits npc vamps (i think) I would recommend anyone also using true death/heartbreaker to load those after CotV2. Curse of the vampire does for me w/o needing to set a customization menu exactly what I wanted done, which is classic true lore based vampires. I have enough MCM to configure before making a starting character template save as it is, no hit against better vampires or anything, it IS a great mod, but I got better vampires to use it's unmatched customization to make my vampires more like classic lore, and now we have CotV2 which does that for me w/o having to touch a menu...I'm grateful beyond words to all modders for the fine tools they craft us, but in this case rather than a tool to fix our car you've given us an unbroken car...cut out the middle man. Excellent, endorsed.

Does anyone know if it is possible to isolate individual passive effects from this mod? I'd love to use the sunlight damage effect and some other ones in combination with other vampire mods, but despite hours of messing around with the Creation Kit, I can't seem to be able to isolate these seemingly simple effects.
