Hello, I just wanted to stop by to thank you, I downloaded it a long time ago.  although I always forget which option to choose in MO2 when installing it and there is no further clarification to understand which option to choose, but returning to the mod, thanks for taking the trouble to do the port

Hello i'm playing as a female High Elf and I just picked up a iron circlet off of a male orc bandit and its not showing when I equip it on myself but was showing just fine on him, I ran body-slides just in case and still blank. I tried others using console commands and nothing changed please advise. (also found that you can wear multiple different ones at that same time)

It seems that the vortex downloads 1.5 veriosn and not 1.6 version and points to an update on this page, but even re-downloading it, downloads the 1.5v.
trying to manually apply it, hope it will work.

I just realized that this mod is really helpful for mage players. I mean it could also work for unarmed, but an unarmed playstyle can be hard to do- the point is that this mod is the closest we can get to playing the game without actual armor whatsoever, so there's that.

at least one (sperg) if not more perks overhaul kind of fix that by making mage armor skills more useful
im level 12 with sperg and already have a constant 240 armor out of stoneflesh (if I remember right)
if not I'm sure there are spells mods that give you armor point I have basically all of them installed but because of sperg and it's mage armor buffs I'm better off using the vanilla spells

So, just to be clear.. am I understanding it right that, if I have the appropriate magic perks and such a head gear but nothing else defensive I can still use the armor spells, eg. stoneflesh, and get the armor bonus for not wearing dedicated armor gear?

This might be an unrealistic request, but the main page says you're open to suggestions, so here's mine:

I'd love to see a version of this with the circlets distributed to leveled lists with helmets and all standard vanilla enchantments. I'd going to be doing an "no enchanting" playthrough, for the joy of loot hunting. Obviously a crafted-only cosmetic solution isn't useful in that case.

Alternately a version of this mod that lets you swap the base item between a helmet and a circlet, again, covering all vanilla enchantment possibilities?

    Either one would be amazing.

fyi this mod is "kind of" compatible with SPERG
    - circlets aren't recognized as proper armor to activate the matching sets perks (the classic vanilla helmets do)
    - those perk bonuses will activate if you have chest+hands+feet of heavy/light equipped (need 3 sperg-recognized parts to get the perk bonus) in that case the circlet will benefit from the +25 or +50% armor boost
I'm not certain why it doesn't recognize them because I only see a check for the armor material keyword, I must be missing something will check later

I've not used SPERG, so i cant say exactly what the problem is, but I can say the circlets in this mod use the same exact flags as their helmet equivalent.

The regular one has the same armor as helmets of that material then you have one that has half the armor and the last one has 25% armor compared to the helmet of the same material.

I see you are porting a lot of SSE mods, any updates on Distinct Interiors? I really like that one. I wonder if it could be possible if you make a guide on how to do this? I really would like to reverse port some mods from SSE to Classic.

Also are you working alone in the Legendary Crossbows mod? I was just wondering if there is any progress in making it compatible with TrueWeapons version of WAFR by kryptopyr. Maybe I could help since I really want to start a playthrough and your mod is one of my next to essential mods to have since I removed Factions and NPO Crossbows mod in my load order but I was seeing a lot of progress during the weeks after you published the file and I thought if I started to make my own patch without your consent and knowledge then I might end up just wasting my time if you change some stuff right after I finish.

Distinct interior has had issue with textures. I'm working on it slowly.

LSC is at a point right now where it is fairly stable and won't change much for a little while as I have other projects on my table. If you want to make a true weapons .esp replacement that would be just fine. Let me know. I'll post it over there or you could even make your own page as long as you post only the esp file.
