    I have changed permissions to my mod so you can use my assets, as long as you give credit.

    For modders resources that I have used/modified you would have to give them credit as well.

    Q: I’ve done the quest for the guy, how do I get the house?
    A: Talk to him again and choose “I need to ask you something”. You should see a dialog option to ask permission to build the house. A Carpenter’s Workbench should appear outside, near where you first entered the area. You’ll need lots of Dwarven Metal Ingots and Quarried stone, so keep your eyes out while journeying through Skyrim. Or you could just buy them from Dathas or his servants in his Tower.

    Q: Control Weather doesn’t work!
    A: You need to change cells (go through a loading screen) before it takes effect. If you want it to take effect immediately, you’ll want to change the weather from inside, like the Master Bedroom.

    Q: I was given a Change Paintings spell, but there are no paintings. What gives?
    A: Go to a Master Control panel, near the elevator on most floors, or behind the bed in the Master Bedroom, and go to Palace, Molten Forge or Tower Options and choose Paintings. If you don’t have a Master Control Panel, you haven’t built enough.

    Q: it only changes to one image.
    A: You need to set the images yourself. You’ll need a 2048x2048.dds file. Go to the Textures \ DACUSTOMPAINTINGS folder which will have 12 Set folders, each with 9 .dds files named Picture01 to Picture09. Overwrite one with your chosen file. You should now be able to see your painting by choosing the file you replaced.

    Q: What does Swap Library actually do?
    A: Changes the bookshelves to allow books placed in them to be visible. Not recommended unless you have a beefy rig, or can tolerate a performance hit.

    Q: What's up with Color Scheme?
    A: Like Control Weather, you need to load into a different area before you'll see the effect.

    Q: What rooms are where?
    Palace – Entrance, Throne, Lounge/Library, Bathing Room, Dining\Kitchen.
    Molten Forge – Molten Forge, Mine, Automaton Crafting/Library, Alchemy Garden.
    Tower – Armory, Artifact Chamber, Follower’s Chambers, Child’s Quarters, Master Bedroom.
    The Arena can be accessed via elevator, and an entrance can be built in the back of the Mine.

    So I've gone and harvested all the elven blood, but the quest is stuck at "( ) Collect elven blood", even though the rest is completed (the harvesting ones). Can you help me?

      My apologies for the goof up guys this is a real bug so I would recommend going into the console commands and type in
      setstage dacmainquest01 50

    the newer version of the mod will not use that stupid buggy quest anymore

    Ok Working on special edition version, this version as most of you already know has been unsupported for the last few years as I've been too busy with real life. so for that I'm terribly sorry about that. though If I find a way of back porting to the Legendary edition from special edition then that make things much easier to manage. so instead of promising a release date I'll just announce when its done.

    Question. I had the idea of building the second floor first and then the master room second but a few things are blocked until i build others first, exactly what is the road map to build which things?

      Honestly its been ages since i looked at the conditions for crafting most of the stuff 
      (most ingredients were just quarried stone and dwaven metal ingots) 

      theres no real order to it, just keep spamming the craft objects till its done
      its sadly strict in that way.

    I'm having some weird model issue where the ghost automatons aren't showing up, instead its these red/white triangles, any solution would be
    appreciated or at least an explanation on why that's happening

      if your porting the mod to special edition you might need to convert it using a nif optimizer (cathedral asset optimizer) 

      or if youre still playing on regular edition it might have been an issue downloading it, you could try redownloading it or just reinstalling it.

    For anyone wanting to update this to sse its pretty easy to do on your own, just run the mod through SSE NIF optimizer, and Cathedral Assets Optimizer and it fixes the texture issues. Im running this mod with the NOLVUS mod pack so it seems to work fine when in conjunction with other mods. This is one of my favorite mods on this site both because of the automaton crafting as well as the house its self being incredibly beautiful, normally I like smaller house mods because they are easier to live in but for whatever reason this one scratches an itch not many other dwemer theme houses can, I'm really excited to see what the actually updated sse version has to offer.

    can anyone port this to SSE i don't think the author is working on it anymore and i tried the normal port via cathedral and just can't make it work

    have you ever thought about the possibility to modify an automaton adding certain parts to it through the forge or a brand new kind of crafting station?

    Imagine this: adding an automatic crossbow-arm to a dwarven sphere or to a dwarven centurion. Adding a dwemer sword/axe-arm/fist to an automaton. Changing a dwarven spider's arm with a flamethrower and so on. Modular stuff.

    Of course it needs to be balanced in some way, but it would be amazing.

      Late, I know, but the dude literally has a post saying he's working on it. You're gonna have to be patient, cause IRL s#*! isn't exactly doing him any favors in terms of development time from what he's said.

      essentially yes, however its going to be a huge overhaul, which will be drastically different from the original, I believe someone else is working on porting this current version of the mod from here to special edition.

      to put what's going to change simply to the point, I'm trying to make it possible to have it where you can change where the furniture can be placed however you'd like (like for warriors there wouldn't be an alchemy garden so you can turn it off or a mage that would not have need for a forge, etc.   

      the texture swapping script has changed to where it can be updated instantly, instead the old method where you have to leave and enter a different room.

      only reason why its taken so long was due to Skyrim limitations holding the project back for too long. + had uni/life stuff at the time as well lol.

      If I could have a feature request, even with my followers and children the palace always felt a bit empty, plus they only ever stay in one cell. Do you think something could be done about that?

      honestly after its ported it'll be up to the userbase to add npc's to it, cus I'll be to busy IRL
