As cool as this pack seems, the in-game result was nothing like it. The glare off everything was hurting my eyes.I was standing next to my pet Hoarker and it was shining like a star. I had no clue what setting it was so I had to uninstall it.

EDIT: SORRY, the enb is good, turns out I had leftover data from another enb i replaced with this, and the glare was caused my overriding errors. I would delete the whole comment but I am man enough to say thats my bad. How I fixed it? I reinstalled enb series which overwrited everything as a clean install, and then reinstalled this psilocybin on a clean enb.

I'm finding that interiors are very dark and difficult to see in using RLO and Vivid, even with RLO's brighter interiors and nights patches. The ASLAL starting cell, for example, is pitch black except around the torch and the statue, and I can only just see the torch down the hallway.

What would be some options to work around this? I found RLS no-JIT version was pretty good, but it's not compatible with RLO and I don't think it's compatible with Vivid either.

Interesting. I never experienced that. If you could do me a favor, I could help, and possibly fix it all around. While in that starting cell, and other areas that are pitch black, could you open the enb gui with "shift+enter" and then tick the "show weathers window" option, and tell me the name of the weather currently running?

The weather window in the ASLAL cell showed the following:
      Weather forced by location: -
      Current weather index: DEFAULT
      Current weather file: enbseries.ini
      Outgoing weather index: DEFAULT
      Outgoing weather file: enbseries.ini
      Current weather ID: 0x00000000
      Outgoing weather ID: 0x00000000
      Weather transition: 0.00

Here's some screenshots. Being fair, my monitor can be quite dark (even with the brightness setting on full; I've tried to calibrate it 3-4 times but I just can't get it any brighter). http://imgur.com/a/O8Scl

I'll get into the game world and run around some dungeons and stuff, and get screenshots of the weather windows to add to that album.

Wow thank you. Ill be sure to look into this and make some changes. Because of all the possible variations in this ENB I guess I didnt get a chance to view everything or maybe missed things. Again, thank you!

I've added a few more screenshots to the album, for a couple of other issues. I have noticed that having something like Jaxonz Lights Please works as a way to navigate in dark areas; stealth players might still want a fix for the pitch-black areas though.

I consider it a feature, not a bug, that Aurbic Alduin textures look AMAZING in this ENB. (The white mouth is GLOWY AS HELL and the starfield skin texture is just *kiss fingertips*.)

Shadows look sort of like illustration halftone - not sure if that was intended or not.

There's a weird issue where some items 'flash' as I approach them. I did turn up my item fade distance after realizing it had been reset to the minimum somehow. This isn't a conflict with Unread Books Glow because it's not just books - it looks like wine bottles might actually be the culprit. (My Modwatch is https://modwat.ch/u/dartigen ; it might be a texture or mesh issue.)

The glowing lines on Standing Stones aren't appearing. Again, not sure if that's intentional.

There's also weird magenta patches in firepit embers - it might be another texture issue. I'm using Realistic Smoke & Embers alongside Cinematic Fire FX 2.

The magenta patches in the fire pits may eithet be graphics card artifacts, or a texture issue.

Glowing lines on standing stones work for me. Do you have a mod that affects them?

As for flashing items Ill look into that.

      Illustrated halftone?

Nice to see the Alduin mod visually enhanced

And thank you for the pictures and input, much appreciated when life isnt in the way ill release an update asap. Maybe this weekend.

I'll disable my ember textures and see what happens, it's very possible that they just don't agree with this ENB.

Hmm, the only mod I have affecting Standing Stones would be Gamwich's Rustic Standing Stone and possibly SMIM or Revamped Assets. I don't think either one does anything with the glowing lines.

Halftone is a shading technique sometimes used in comic books or newspaper comics. This image is a fairly dramatic example: https://cms-assets.tutsplus.com/uploads/users/833/posts/25121/final_image/Halftones.png

The effect in-game is a bit more subtle, but noticeable - I just wasn't sure if it was deliberate or if I had something set wrong. I did have a few incorrect shadow settings so it could have been those interacting with the ENB.

EDIT: Looks like the halftone look was the shadow settings. I set fShadowBiasScale and iBlurDeferredShadowMask to STEP's recommended settings (0.15 and 5 respectively) and it's gone away. I guess that's how severe shadow striping gets filtered through an ENB.

The magenta in embers is still appearing when I changed to Embers HD (though not as much) and turned it off. It doesn't happen with the ENB off, so I guess it's just that the textures don't agree with it for some reason. I'll add screenshots of what I mean to the album.

I looked at the pics and it seems the ASLAL starting cell is correct. Its supposed to be thqt dark, or maybe its just not that dark on my screen. IPS monitor at 50% brightness. 100% brightness is a little brighter.

As for the shadows im glad you figured it out with this ENB I managed an "ambient occlusion" effect without having to enable the actual AO effect, saving performance costs. I know its not perfect but its damn near close to perfect, in my opinion anyway :p so because of that, some shadow settings, if different from mine, may affect how it looks. I cant say but you coming back and reporting what you changed and what happened helps, so thank you

Edit: and after further review I do notice some things that could be tweaked. Have ypu noticed the same areas for interiors being bright? Check the video the nexus user posted, I put it in the descriptiom. Some "pitch black" interiors can also show as bright. Its a feature of offering different feels between the mix of fantasy of realism hope this helps for now I will be able to update tomorrow, maybe!

I worked out the lighting problem - turns out, you can't use the RLO Brighter Nights Weather patch with Vivid, or any RLO Weathers content. And, merging RLO patches makes them stop working altogether.

I haven't noticed any excessively bright areas yet, but I've had some issues with my GPU (or possibly VRAM limits in Windows 10, or both) that have made playing with ENB on very difficult. I will say that using Candlelight in interiors can be very, very bright - but I didn't regard it as an issue since that happens in vanilla and with other lighting mods too.

(If anyone else is getting the 'buzzing crash' where you have to hold your PC's power button down to restart it - that's your GPU. What's happening is that it needs to draw a little more power to keep working, but its driver settings don't allow for it. If you have an AMD card, you can apparently use Wattman to work around the issue, but I haven't been able to get any guidance on the exact way to do this. I'm guessing Nvidia cards have a similar overclocking utility that could be used the same way, but I don't know for sure.)

I've made a couple of screenshot albums on my Imgur - one where I forgot to turn off the HUD, and one where I finally remembered the TM command. I've tried to organise them so that the ENB on/ENB off images are side by side; if I get time later, I'll try to composite some images for a more direct comparison.

Got a link to the album? I love screen shots and feel free to upload any you have on my mod page, if you want

Im glad you figured it out because I couldnt, but your solution explains why. My set up is fully compatible across the board. Im still getting around to making my mod list and install instructions for it. Life is a hell of a time consumer.

I hope you continue to enjoy this ENB and all the variations it provides. I myself am seeing new colors and visuals that I didnt even realize were there. Not to sound arrogant (I rarely compliment myself) but im blown back by how gorgeous this ENB looks at times, especially during sunsets and sunrises!

      Enjoy your day

Sorry for the late reply! I nuked my load order and started over this week, and a helpful person on Reddit guided me through some Wattman settings to hopefully end the buzzing crash for good.

Here was where I forgot to turn the HUD off: http://imgur.com/a/u3z3G

Here's where the HUD was off: http://imgur.com/a/fRA3M

I managed to get a few really dramatic weather shots, hopefully going to spot some more on this run. I'm working on editing the HUD-less shots so they're half-and-half of each scene, but it's taking quite a while.

Dude, nice screens! Thanks for sharing. Mind if I uplod some here, or would you upload some here on this mod page? And some of the captions made me giggle, thanks for that lol.

I did notice some differences, but it could be that your game decided to use a different weather setting at the time I visited some of these places, which is how its supposed to work anyway. I did notice that the helgen start, especially with alduin, is very different from mine. I may upload a video but every time I played it had the same hour and same day and same weather, and it looked very cinematic/dramatic, whereas your screens there do not. It could be that the ENB accidentally switched to another weather, which duting the helgen start of the game, is not supposed to happen, unless your set up is different? Idk but looks good anyway! Again, thank you.

P.S. I had to check out the screens again.....I may switch to the galaxy/nebula you are using or whatever lol those colors look amazing.

Sorry for coming back so late - I'll grab some shots out of the album and upload them on the page.

I'm using Ethereal Cosmos by Gamwich, with fadingsignal's constellation and moon textures.

I haven't taken any more recent screenshots - I've nuked my save again, and I'm waiting until I see some more unique or out-there weathers (or I get to somewhere like Sovngarde or the Soul Cairn).

I'm not completely sure about Helgen either. I have Thunderchild installed, but I don't think it changes the FX. I had a really hard time getting good and clear screenshots in Helgen though. (I keep trying to snap Aurbic Alduin and it just never works. Couldn't catch him in Kynesgrove either. I think I'll have to wait until I get to Sovngarde for a good image.)

    Hello Neverall.
Installed the ENB as per usual and can play but I ctd on save everytime, when I return to Rudy enb I can save np. Are there any must have requirements/ conflicts?
    THX

Duh, disregard my post for now, comparing the enbseries.ini I can see the likely culprit.

Lol all requirements are listed in the description, though they are only required (to my knowledge) if you wish for this ENB to look as I intended it to look.

I'm glad you found the issue (you did, right) and if you run into anything else I'll be glad to help!

PS don't forget that every area of the game will sometimes look the same, and sometimes look different. Hopefully you get a chance to enjoy all the visuals this ENB offers!

I use Vivid Weathers in the pics and just recently am trying the ENB with ELFX ( like it a little more than RLO, see Gophers video). I was reading that some find the ENB too dark, Vivid Weathers does have three light settings in the MCM for interior/exterior lights.

Yeah I almost have an update ready to help with the darkness. Some times it will still be dark, but more times that the current upload it will be a bit brighter. But those settings you mentioned are also a good alternative.

      And, Gophers video?

I may try ELFX on a new install after i finish my Illusion Assassin playthrough

I'm going to make this my new ENB, but do have some respectful requests. I love the lens effect only in certain situations, as when it rains. However, I am having some issue personally with the halo effect that seems to appear almost always around my fov most of the time. Especially around the edges? This is off putting and distracting for me. The bad thing is I don't know which settings to adjust to rid myself of the rays that form the halo effect. Help please?

I too am having issues with the exterior nights being extremely dark for me using your suggested RLO. I realize this is probably by design but I have issues even with a travel lantern. Just me I suppose.

On a more positive note, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE AMBIENCE OF THIS ENB! SUNRISES AND SUNSETS ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! COLORS AND CLOUD FORMATIONS...WOW!
    THANK YOU!

From my experience, with my other ENB, you should be fine. This one is slightly brighter than my Ckromaticka ENB, so you should have good results with ELFX. I didnt use ELFX for this ENB, so I have no idea what it will look like. ELFX looks good with my Ckromaticka ENB, but Psilocybin ENB is very different in a lot of ways.

      Goodluck, and enjoy

Ah im so sorry. I guess I missed some things. I also use wearable lanterns max setting (1200 bright, 2+ radius). Interiors like dungeons, for realism, should be pitch black but I got annoyed with that and decided to make them just a tad visible. I guess on my monitor its the right darkness, but on non-IPS it might still be pitch black. And, I may have missed a couple weather settings for interiors. Thank you for calling this to my attention I will try and fix this.

Keep in mind, I tried mixing realism with fantasy :p
