If this Continous Chopping mod isn't working for you, it could be that you've already chopped wood on that chopping block in the past, before you installed this mod. I had that issue. Mod didn't work at Heartwood Mill, but that's where I had been chopping before.
QUICK FIX that worked for me: Use the console to spawn a fresh chopping block next to the old chopping block. Continous chop should work on the fresh chopping block.
Here are the console code steps I used to spawn a new fresh chopping block. The block spawns where you are standing:
Press the tilde ~ key to enter console mode, then type: player.placeatme 0007022e 1 Press Enter key to commit Press ~ to exit console
Optional steps: Delete the old chopping block using Jaxonz's Positioner tool. Use same tool to move/level/rotate the new chopping block.
I wonder, WHY in hell would you cheat the resources system with a mod (this or the mining one) if you can just add those items by command. Which would be faster and you dont need to install shit.
With wood cutting it just makes sense to have it infinite really, and it's not really a cheat because you could still be there chopping for hrs in vanilla, but still you do have a valid point would just as easy to spawn the s*** into your inventory lol!
why even bother killing enemies when you can use open console and type 'kill'? why even play the game when you can just add the most OP items with the console? .....
Your post is years old but this has to be said. All this mod does is not making you have to click a button for chopping more wood, that's it. In the end it's a SP game so who even cares what others do with their game as long as they don't go around bragging about it as if they did it manually for several hours.
Using the console would be even more cheating because that totally breaks immersion. It's more plausible within the confines of Skyrim that you can chop wood for a long time without pause than it is for stuff to magically appear in your inventory. And "installing s#*!" doesn't take more than a few clicks and 10 seconds of your life and you'd save those 10 seconds multiple times over as you continue to chop wood.
I cannot belive im the only one who figured this out ? Seriously ? this mod works just fine guys, problem is it fidgets with a script, scripts that are already loaded in your game wont get an update until the item or object that are attached to respawns, respawn timer is 30 days normaly, however there are some mods out there that can make it 1 day, Grab such a mod, go inside somewhere, sleep a day, save, load, sleep another day, save, load, this should have caused a respawn of everything except for the area your currently in, then save again, quit out, disable the respawn mod, and load game back up. If you did this all correctly, your chopping blocks should all work. Also starting a new game would have them all working right.
I know these posts were forever ago, but I figured I'd add my two cents. I had this problem off and on. Seemed like other mods would mess with the script possibly and after removal and even clean installs, this mod failed. I tried they cycle wait time, but of course, that didn't work for me. May have missed something or have a mod blocking that route. Anyway, I grabbed a mod (I think something like No More Boring Sleep ... not sure) that allowed the sleep/wait timer to advance 31 full days. Since Bethesda informed the community that world cells reset at the 31 day mark, I went ahead and just tried that (previously tried the cell reset within Deadly Dragons mod). After the 12 minute hibernation cycle waiting, wouldn't ya know, the bat rastard worked just fine. I can finally chop me some damn wood without babysitting and getting bored to tears.
Hope that helps any future readers.
OH - I'm a little surprised that Chesko didn't include something to overhaul basic chopping for Frostfall. I mean, the gathering feature is great, but it would have been nice to see the wood block included since it's all about survival. I'm sure there's a reason though.
this works, but not in all places. After waiting for well over 31 days, I was able to get it to work at the half moon mill, but not at the mill west of windhelm. Unfortunately the mod that does seem to work http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26116 won't work with 'More Firewood per Chop' so I guess I will use it for now and stick to the spots that do actually work.
