I'm looking at the Before and after photos, and i can't see ANY difference between the two. if this mod actually DOES change something, its nowhere near enough to warrant downloading this mod. what exactly did you change?
If you look at the edges of the wood, he shifted the image over so the sections line up with where the wood pieces are split. I guess in vanilla they're moved over slightly?
It's best seen on the leftmost vertical black line. In the before image the blueish paint is covering the line, which would be impossible since it's a gap.
It just makes the background paint look like its on the wood rather than hanging in the space where there are gaps between the planks. But as the vanilla shields look so crap I doubt any self respecting shield maker would sell one, I tend not to even look at them that closely enough to care that the game developers couldn't bother to get this right.

I am surprised, that some of you can't see any difference^^
Maybe I am too fastidious, but I often wear a guard shield and it dissapointed me everytime I saw this (little) disalignment^^
So, this mod is for everyone who has the same quirk as me^^
But as the vanilla shields look so crap I doubt any self respecting shield maker would sell one, I tend not to even look at them that closely enough to care that the game developers couldn't bother to get this right.
