Apparently, this was fixed in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, making this mod mostly obsolete.
It would be nice to mention it in the description, as this mod would only be interesting for those who do not want the whole USKP or those who are having issues with it.
Please help, I tried putting the sapphire_speak_fix.esp into the Data folder, and replaced the two .xml files into the fomod folder, and nothing happens. At that point my character was just in front of Sapphire and the quest has already begun as I have talked to Shadr and told him that I would settle his debt.
I think I'm doing something wrong, so please let me know which files go where and what I should do. You can contact me via email at [email protected].

I looks like you don't really know how to enable mod. You need just the esp file, others are for Nexus Mod Manager. Instalation is as follows: -Extract esp to data folder -Run Skyrim launcher -Click on Data Files -Check box next to mod name to enable it -Click Ok -Run game
Or download it through NexusMM. It will be automatic then.
Fix should be active the second you load your game with it.
